This sound bar and subwoofer has GREAT quality. We use this in our game room with projector for movie theatre quality sound and it’s been fantastic for us. My daughter is noise sensitive so we haven’t even used this at max sound and it’s plenty loud at even just half max volume. Sound is crisp and clear especially for marvel movies (what we spend the most time on). The wireless subwoofer let us place it in another area of the room which gives more surround sound quality to the set. The bar is about the same size as our 32” tv and was easy to mount. Very easy to connect to our Bluetooth projector for quality sound every time. Highly recommend!

I have a 70" LG TV that is mounted over my fireplace. The distance between the base of the TV and the fireplace mantle was minimal, and I wasn't sure I could mount a soundbar without actually moving the TV bracket upward. So that was the very first HUGE benefit of this soundbar. It is extremely compact in both height and depth (at about 2/5" tall and 3.5" deep). The fit was great, but I could only buy it if I could switch it on while it was covering my IR Receiver on my TV. Here is where the second benefit comes in, and I'm not certain it is well understood. This unit comes with an "IR Repeater", which means once you activate it in the settings (after reading the manual), it will actually transmit the IR signal from your remote control through to your TV... even when it is covered by the soundbar! Check out the image I attached and you'll see just how tight the distance was which was solved by the IR Repeater. Now onto the quality of this unit. The soundbar itself is well-constructed and solid. It is quite versatile, compatible with Bluetooth, Optical, HDMI ARC, and more. I chose the HDMI ARC connection, which I find superior to Bluetooth as it does a great job on lip-synch, and allows full control using your TV remote. I was so pleased to find my LG TV was completely controllable using Sony soundbar functions! Finally, about the sound quality. You become immersed in theater-like sound. The bass is crisp and clear, and there is even a setting to allow voice dialogue to be brought more to the foreground. The upgrade from my built-in speakers on my TV was incredible. I highly recommend this soundbar. I purchased it while it was on sale at a $100.00 discount... and it was a steal!

I’ve never understood the need to spend as much money on a soundbar and subwoofer setup as I did for my TV alone, and this little bar and woofer combo from Sony solidifies that standing opinion. With the Sound Field feature turned on, the sound and volume range of this bar absolutely decimates the TV’s speaker capabilities. The subwoofer produces clean, rich bass, especially when you’re watching a movie that can take advantage of all the bass frequencies. Here’s the crazy bonus I discovered: if you pair this setup with a Sony TV, then your factory Sony TV remote will operate the sound bar! When you install the sound system, the Sony TV auto detects the setup and overrides its own speakers. This means automatic control of your soundbar with the TV’s remote, and your TV’s speakers are deactivated, so you don’t experience any of that weird echo phenomenon! Also, when you turn power on your Sony TV, it automatically powers up the sound system. When you power off your Sony TV, it puts the soundbar into standby mode! As you can see in my pics, the little soundbar remote just stays up there on the mantle as a backup. Once you turn on Sound Field, that setting is saved. Just put your little soundbar remote someplace safe as a backup, because you won’t need it if using a Sony TV! This is a fantastic, value-minded setup.

Sony HT-S400, and I’m genuinely impressed with what it delivers for the price. The sound quality is clear and immersive, with the wireless subwoofer adding deep, rich bass that brings movies and music to life. It’s perfect for enhancing TV audio without the hassle of a full surround system.

The system adds great depth in the room. As the action on screen heats up, the subwoofer adds a mellow rumble. And Bluetooth ability is terrific. P I am very pleased though I may have shaken a few pictures off the wall!

This amazing tv speaker surround sound fills like we are in a movie theater and it was affordable and we just love it, that’s why we always shop at Best Buy every item we get is so amazing! If you own a Bravia TV and want a solid entry level audio system, this is the one. Great sound, literal seamless connection, which allows use of only 1 remote. Plus, it is thin enough to fit under our TV, which gives an even cleaner look. Very happy with the purchase.

Couldnt be happier with my Purchase! Sound quality is great, and being able to control the bass and enable night mode allows you to still enjoy it even in the late hours of the night. One thing to note is that the subwoofer sometimes produces this thump that tends to be louder than the volume its been set to. Its been pretty spontaneous but it isnt much of an issue if you pay it no mind. Another small thing about volume control is that its not nearly as fast or responsive as i would expect a soundbar to be. But again, if that wont bother you then this is a great purchase for either a bedroom or living room!

I saw previous comments and was worried that I wouldn't be able to install it myself, but it was super easy, just follow the instructions and pay attention to what you're doing, but it was super quick, easy, and works really well, I'm loving it.

Fantastic, clear sound! Great bass. Had to turn bass down to -5 for our apartment, but it’s still very rich and clear! Once we move into a house, it will be more than enough bass for my wife and I!

I wanted a soundbar to go with my new tv. This sound bar was exactly what I was looking for and is louder than I thought it would be. I have to keep the base down because of our neighbors. It sounds like a mini movie theater. It does more then gets the job done. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a more budget friendly sound bar!

I love how great it is when it comes to the sound bar's bass and the subwoofers. It fits perfectly on my Sony TV, sitting right under it. We rarely need to use the remote, as it adjusts with the TV seamlessly. I would recommend this to all my friends and family. Thank you to anyone else who asked.

Sound bar works well. It makes voices heard clearly over other backround sounds and music. I have trouble hearing and used to use captions, but NOT anymore. This soundbar works better than expected. It is mounted on a bracket attached to the TV and sits underneath as shown in the picture. The subwoofer is sitting on the floor to the left of TV.

The Sony HT-3400 2.1 ch soundbar and subwoofer has amazing sound quality and is extremely easy to install and connect to your tv! The quality is more than I expected for the price! I would recommend this product to anyone I know!

I was kinda worries anout the price (cheaper than many others) but after installing it which was sooo easy with my Sony TV, it sounds awesome! Also easy to connect to bluetooth so i can listen to Metalicca! Worth the price and ahipped right to my door!

It’s a great sound bar. I love the base and the additional volume. I wish it had a little more clarity at the louder volumes. Also can’t figure out how to get the battery cover back on the remote all the way. My son couldn’t even do it and he’s our resident techy. Other than that, I am competely happy with my purchase. I would buy it again

The best speaker in this price. Clear and Loud. Subwoofer is the bonus.
