Buggy Software Sinks an Otherwise Decent K/B

The build quality and sound on this keyboard are fair, nothing special but this keyboard isn't built for typing so that understandable. What has made this purchase a nightmare though is the Steelseries GG software and how it integrates with the keyboards interface. The GG software began by introducing massive amounts of stuttering, particularly while installing games through Steam. A reinstall of the software eventually did fix this issue, but more issues just kept coming. Next, the actuation point on the keyboard itself began to differ from the GG software, which led to several other bugs in relation to setting the actuation point and using the included "rapid trigger" feature. The OLED screen is cool at first, till you see that there are even more bugs when present when you start to dig deeper into its functionality. Without the software and with the bugs present in many of this keyboards features, it can't keep up with other brands at this same price point. I'll be ditching this keyboard as soon as possible and hopefully upgrade to the Wooting 60HE at the same price, the Drunkdeer A75 Pro at a cheaper price, or the Razer Huntsman v3 Pro at slightly more expensive price, but a far more feature rich product with a less buggy and obtrusive software (though Razer software can certainly have it's own issues, it pales in comparison to Steelseries and it's bloatware.) Avoid unless you're desperate for "rapid trigger" and even then, there are so many better options. It has sadly deterred me from Steelseries as a brand, which used to be a somewhat quality player in the PC accessory space, but there quality has plummeted and there are so many brands to choose now, choose anything else.

Coming from a crappy keyboard, I thought this was amazing. Then, I got my hands on a Keychron Q1 HE and suddenly hated the Apex Pro V2. The quality is day and night. Get a Keychron HE or Lemokey HE. Also, too much bloatware with Steel Series.

Steel Series 2023 2.0 Switches Lacking serious QA

Buyer beware as this keyboard has serious QA issues. They keyboard itself would be the best I have owned however the quality from Steelseries for this specific keyboards switches are atrocious. My 1st keyboard had the V and B buttons completely stop working. I have had the 2nd keyboard less than 24hours and the RGB lights stopped working on the CAPS key. So I will have to return this to get a new keyboard. Will stay away from Steelseries 2023 version as the 2.0 switches are lacking serious QA issues.
