||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: + Bluetooth 5.3 & 2.4GHz connectivity + Includes a USB-C to USB-A adapter + Toggle ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) and transparency with the push of a button + Clear phone calls to listen and Cons: - Custom EQ presets requires modifying via Sonar software on computer I'm not typically a big fan of in-ear headphones. I have used the likes of JBL, Pixel Buds, and other types that would never stay in my ear. I have had great success with these! The first use of these after a full charge in 2.4GHz mode (connected to a desktop PC) lasted me about 13 hours. This included listening to music, gaming, watching social media vids, and more. I'll be testing in bluetooth mode soon to see how they fair, but first impressions are great for these GameBuds!

Excellent sound, compact, and discrete
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds True Wireless Noise Cancelling Gaming Earbuds are very nice and ideal for my needs. Multi-use functionality as gaming headphones, but also as headphones to use with my smartphone. The Arctis GameBuds operate on both Bluetooth version 5.3 and 2.4GHz Low Latency, which allows easy switching between devices and audio streams. At the press of a button I can jump from my PC game audio over to an incoming phone call on my iPhone. These have Active Noise Cancellation, and Transparency modes to give you flexibility on what you choose to hear in your personal surroundings. The fit on these GameBuds is actually fantastic for my personal preference. I struggle to find a proper fitting earbud that won't continually need adjusting or fall out. These Arctis GameBuds have been surprisingly comfortable for long periods of time for both gaming and for smartphone usage. You'll get the standard offering of small, medium, and large ear tips to choose your best comfort and fit. These are fairly discrete earbuds that look nice and offer a very upscale design/style. I've been using these particular GameBuds with my PC Gaming, but they're compatible for PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Mac as well. These GameBuds are IP55 water resistant which is nice if you happen to sweat a little bit, or get some water or dust on them doing your various tasks. I also like the hardshell case that these GameBuds come inside of. The case has a nice design, it's easy to hold, and houses the 2 GameBuds and the USB-C adapter very securely. The case is also a QI wireless charging case for more flexibility. There is a USB-C cable included in the package as well. The GameBuds will get you about 10 hours per charge, which should give you a total of up to 40 hours with the fully charged case. These have a quick charge capability which allows for a fast charge in 15 minutes that will give you 3 hours of usability. Using these GameBuds is a fun experience because of the 100+ Game Audio Presets that are offered for a lot of the most popular games. You can choose your desired game within the Arctis app and the audio is customized to the most ideal settings for that particular game. I have been playing various games and using the preset settings instead of my own desired preference. Many of the games sound incredibly better which allows me to hear more fine tuned sounds that are relevant to the style of game I'm playing. With the 360 degree spatial audio I feel like I'm getting a full 3D sound experience within this small profile GameBud placed into my ear. The microphone works fairly well for gaming, phone calls, and virtual online calls for work. Overall I'm a fan of these Arctis GameBuds. I feel like these are for the moments where I want the flexibility of gaming and phone usage at the same time. The audio clarity is very nice and I am happy with all the highs and lows in the sound range. Of course most over the ear headphones will have bigger drivers for larger sound, but the beauty of the GameBuds is their smaller discrete size and usability. I don't always want to wear over the ear headsets for gaming and get my hair messed up before stepping out to an event or function. I can use these Arctis GameBuds to game any time of day, and get all the same fun from my gaming experience while managing my professional look during my work day. The Arctis app works very well and is easy to navigate, so that you can maximize the usability of these GameBuds.

nice portable alternative to traditional headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Arctis is supposed to make the best gaming experience with headphones according to many reviews for their products and from what my gaming sons tell me. These game buds do not disappoint. They sport 100+ game presets for PS5, long battery life and many features. Let us dig in to all the details. What is included in the package is everything you will need to get going. (see photo) The case is Qi wireless charging capable. Like apple airpods, and most earbuds of this nature on the market, this case holds a charge and charges the gamebuds while stored in the case. The case also has a slot for the USB-C 2.4Ghz dongle (i don’t have a pic of this as it’s plugged into the back of my PC and I’m not at home while writing this review). As mentioned, the case is Qi wireless, however, you also get a USB-C charging cable with these headphones. It’s not very long so you’ll have to be close to a charging port if you go that route. There is a USB-c to USB-A adapter included which I 100% needed. I only have 1 USB-C port on my gaming desktop. Arctis also provides extra ear bud tips to help accommodate all ear sizes, S/M/L. There is an aquabarrier that is rated IP55. IP rated stands for Ingress Protection and helps to keep particles and moisture from entering the earbuds. That’s a decent rating for earbuds. I used to work with industrial DC electric motors, and they were rated at IP60, so this IP55 is amazing for home use earbuds imo. These particular earbuds are rated for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and VR. My review is for PC. Sadly, one of my kids broke my Switch. I just purchased a PS5 but have not had the opportunity to get into that yet. (c'mon Christmas break!) Set up for Bluetooth and 2.4Ghz was fairly easy, I say fairly because there were quite a few hiccups with the arctis app on my PC and updates that spanned 2 days and made things very irritating. Speaking of PC, make sure you download the arctis software to help move things along. You do not need the phone app (see photo), but I highly recommend downloading it as a companion app. It makes it easy to switch back and forth between 2.4 or Bluetooth if you need to. The gaming presets are also on the app, making it super easy to switch at the touch of the screen. You can of course make your own custom preset for any game you are playing that may not have a preset loaded. Just do not forget to switch to another preset if you switch games! That happened to me, and I can see how that can easily be a regular occurrence. No fault of arctis, that is on my memory. Played a few rounds of Lethal Company with my kids, and they report the sound from my earbuds when talking, was to be expected from earbuds. They said it is not the same output mic quality as with a headset. We expected that though, because physically, earbuds are much further from your mouth than a headset adjustable mic would be. The audio quality I will give 3 stars, as it’s incredibly good with spatial audio, and the game audio is impressive for being earbuds. I am disappointed in the robotic noise that scrambles the audio for a second or two during gameplay. It is still happening after a few days of usage. I tried to correct it in the Arctis Sonar app. My kids told me they do not like the sonar and they stopped using it with their arctis headsets because it was buggy. The updates and the original setup as I mentioned was a nightmare, it took about 3 updates and restarts of my pc to get them going. The earbud controls are very intuitive, and they give you nice little instructions in the box. I thought the active noise cancellation was decent, not to the level of my apple airpods, but ok. I’ve been testing these for work as well, and they hold up well to constant teams calls and incoming calls. One thing that could be better is that I have to pair these things all the time, and it doesn’t work as well as it should. To pair, you put the earbuds in the case and open it. Press and hold for 3 seconds one of the earbuds. After 3 seconds they flash blue and you can pair to your phone, PC, PS5, Switch, VR. That doesn’t happen, sometimes it takes 2-4 times of opening the case and trying this before you can get them to flash blue. Most times I hold an earbud down for 3 seconds, nothing happens. Eventually they work so I don’t complain. Even once you’ve connected once or twice to a certain device, you still have to pair them quite often. There’s no opening the case and they connect automatically. The ear fit was wonderfully comfortable, they did not fall out and were comfortable for prolonged periods of time. The real star here is the battery life. I think I’ve charged these once and they’ve lasted me while working and coming home at night , gaming for an hour or two for a good 5 days straight. Overall, I would recommend these if you are looking for something more easily portable, and something different than a traditional headset. However, if you want higher quality audio and speaking audio, stick with a headset. These gamebuds will stand out if portability is a big factor for you. Nicely done Arctis, but there is definitely room for some improvements and refinement. I am sure Arctis will continue to improve on these as the years come. They do not have far to go, would recommend these to a friend.

Good sound, all day comfort and battery life.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good sounding ANC earbuds with almost all the right features. They’re light, compact, and comfortable enough to wear all day without irritation. The sound quality is good, but nothing really remarkable. Bass response is clean, but doesn’t thump. Vocals and dialogue are clear with a seemingly neutral response. The Active Noise Canceling is a bit underwhelming. It does well eliminating fan noise, but everything else is audible, just at a lower volume. It’s not really that noticeable when you’re playing media, but don’t count on it to totally block out noises when nothing is playing (except fans). Connecting to the SteelSeries GG app opens up a plethora of tuning options with a customizable EQ, spatial audio, mic tuning, and over 100 presets which range from specific games, music, and movies. I’ve honestly been living on the presets, so I can’t comment on the manual EQ tuning, but it offers a good experience all around. They’re designed to be used as both gaming and daily use earbuds, which is a great thing if you intend to use up all 10 hours of battery life in the earbuds. There’s supposedly another 30 hours of recharge power in the case, which itself can charge wirelessly or through the USB-C port. Earbud connection comes by way of a 2.4GHz USB-C wireless dongle or bluetooth 5.3, both of which provide a reliable experience without any noticeable delay. The button controls are responsive with good tactile feedback. Their operation is slightly customizable, but pretty standard for wireless earbuds. I’m surprised that with a wireless USB dongle and bluetooth that I can’t use both connections at the same time. I’m forced to switch between my phone or PC, which I don’t have to do with my other gaming headphones. This means no streaming music from my phone while running around Night City or racing Laguna Seca. Not that big of a deal, I can just stream from my PC instead, or connect my phone to my PC, but it would be nicer if each device could maintain their own autonomy. The case plastic also feels a bit thin, but it’s been holding up well with regular abuse. Overall, the SteelSeries Arctis gamebuds are a solid set of gaming and day to day headphones. The sound quality is good with a 2.4GHz and bluetooth connection and a ton of presets. Unfortunately the noise cancelling is only ok. It blocks fan noise well, but mostly just reduces everything else. However, with 10 hours of usage time and a comfortable fit, it’s easy to enjoy these earbuds all day. PROS - Good sound quality - Decent bass response - Clear dialogue - Over 100 EQ presets - Buttons and controls work well - Earbuds are compact and look good - Comfortable for long hours - Works well as daily and gaming headphones - GG Sonar works well - Spatial audio with GG app - SteelSeries GG app has neat features - 10+ hours playtime in earbuds - 30+ hours of recharge time in case - Case holds USBC receiver too - Compact case - Wireless Q case charging - Includes 4 sizes of ear cushions CONS - Can’t play both bluetooth and 2.4 source at same time - Active Noise Cancelling doesn’t block loudest sounds - Case plastic feels a little cheap - A little confusing setting up between Sonar and EQ - Not audiophile sound quality

Outstanding earbuds for gamers--or anyone
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Arctis GameBuds from SteelSeries are a fantastic set of wireless earbuds. Aimed at gamers in particular, they nonetheless represent all around excellence for just about any use. Even casual gamers should strongly consider these, given the features and performance. The headphones are loaded with features: 2.4Ghz wireless support for low latency, Bluetooth, active noise canceling with a transparency feature, loads of audio presets and the ability to create more, IP55 water resistance, and wireless charging. All great–but do they sound good? Yes, they do. Setup can be done via the Arctis companion app on a mobile device, or you can download the SteelSeries GG PC app. The latter has the ability to create presets via Sonar, and is the only way to update the firmware unfortunately. The app does give plenty of other options though–179 total presets, with music and movie presets along with an enormous list of presets for popular games. ANC and transparency settings can be toggled here along with mic levels. The app will also show whether the earbuds are connected via Bluetooth or wireless. Thankfully the app still communicates with the earbuds over Bluetooth while in wireless mode, so you can adjust settings in the app regardless. The initial setup with my Galaxy S23 Ultra was rocky (but that’s par for the course with this phone and doesn’t reflect upon these), but after a few tries they finally synced up and worked fine. One thing to note: when using the earbuds with a Bluetooth device, the volume control is integrated. If you adjust the volume via your mobile device, it’ll control the volume. But when you are using the 2.4Ghz wireless dongle with the device, there are two independent volume levels: the device and the earbuds themselves. So you’ll want to adjust both your device volume (console, PC) and your earbuds (a tap and hold–right for increase, left for decrease). In use, I found these comfortable to wear for extended periods, which isn’t always true for earbuds for me. There are multiple tips to adjust for ear size, and I found the default ones to be perfect for me.The fit is snug and they don’t feel like they’ll fall out, and the seal is tight enough for a good ANC experience. These definitely aren’t the best with noise canceling I’ve ever heard, but they do a very good job. Overall audio performance was really good–I was surprised by how much I enjoyed listening to them. For music playback testing I used Spotify over Bluetooth and found that I really like the Music:Punchy preset for most popular music. Everything from Andre Rieu to AC/DC sounded excellent and lively. For gaming, you use the included Type-C wireless dongle. You tap the earbuds three times to quickly alternate between wireless and Bluetooth and the switch is very fast. For devices that don’t have a Type-C port, a Type-C to Type-A adapter was helpfully included. For both the PS5 and my gaming PC they were instantly recognized. In reading some of the documentation, I saw that some audio enhancement settings on a device might interfere with the earbuds’ own settings, so I made sure to disable those. I tested games that were included among the 179 included presets: Horizon Forbidden West on PS5 and Forza Horizon 5 on PC. I thought for wireless earbuds they sounded excellent and offered great clarity. Are you going to mistake it for a dedicated 7.1 channel audio system? No, but I came away impressed, particularly in Forza Horizon 5. Mic quality in testing worked well and should be good for most people. My final judgment? These are great earbuds, period, and for gamers who want a more compact audio solution than a large headset, these are a slam dunk. They sound fantastic, have just about every feature you’d want, and offer the versatility of low latency wireless or Bluetooth connectivity along with excellent ergonomics. I’d actually say that even if you had zero interest in gaming that these are worth looking at, just because they sound good. Highly recommended

These Buds Or Awesome
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My "Call of Duty" game has been stepped up so much because of these earbuds.( I still suck pretty bad, but not nearly as much.) I can hear the enemy coming up from behind me of even above my on the next floor. It's almost like cheating. It's not cheating, but I'm really feeling like I have a better edge on my opponents. So, let me tell you how I really feel. Lol! Out of the box, you get a fully charged pair of bluetooth earbuds( At least I did.), a small type C to type C cable & there's an adapter for it underneath that box for updates(we'll talk about that in a bit.) The buds come in a wirelessly chargeable case that also houses the dongle you'll be able to use for connecting to your PS5, Nintendo Switch, or VR headset. You cannn also use it on your PC(if your PC doesn't have bluetooth capabilities ). But as I am fortunate enough to not need it, it stays snugged in the case whi;e I game or talk on my phone. Yes. These do connect to your smartphones and tthey sound great. You've got 4 sets of ear gummies to make sure that you have the best fit for sound and Noise canceling comfort. They are dust and water resistant and have a 10 hour charge and 3 more full charges in the case. This means that I could go for two hours of cardio and still go home a endure another 8 hours of gaming. This is a serious no brainer. There is an app that ypu should definitely install for firmware updates and preset options. ( I had a problem with the update, but the tech team at Steelseries helped me out in spades. I was up and running in no time. These are just awesome. Get'em.

Great sounding buds with a lot of uses
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds are sleek in ear buds designed for gaming. The one thing that caught my interest with the Arctis Game Buds is the fact that they are multi-platform, they work for Xbox, PS5, PS4, PC, Switch plus your Mobile Phone. There is a little toggle on the receiver to change from "PC - Xbox". In the Box you get the Arctis Gamebuds, they sit in the Charging Case along with the USB-C 2.4Ghz receiver. A USB cable for the receiver to plug into a USB-A port, a charging cable. The small and large ear tips are in the box while the medium is on the gamebuds out of the box. You have some informational documents included also. On the packaging there is a QR Code to install the SteelSeries Arctis Companion App, I preinstalled this and turned on the GameBuds. By default they were in the bluetooth mode so I went through the process to pair these with my phone. The Companion app allows you to view the battery status, equalizer presets and more audio and microphone options. You can click on the gear to check the firmware, modify settings and change button mapping. There are a lot of button mapping presets at different click they got, single - double - triple press, short hold, single press then hold, 3 second hold and 3 second hold in case. There are a bunch of presets, but you are able to modify single and double tap on the left and right GameBud individually. Sound is definitely really good! I have another pair of buds that I usually keep in my bag for work, but would like to use them for projects at home from time to time, and it was always a bummer if I forgot to put them back. The wireless qi charging is appreciated as that is the main method I charge, there is a USB-C port for charging. The Equalizers i've played with are really well tunes, I usually have it on the Music: Punchy while connected to my phone (Using them now as I review them). There are also a bunch of EQ Presets for a ton of games, from Call of Duty, Apex Legends, Destiny 2, Remnant 2, Diablo IV, those are some of the ones I have favorited and tried. ANC works well in my experience, typically what I keep it on while I focus, but you can change to transparency or simply turn it off. The Mic works well enough in my experience, it was cranked by default so I was much louder when first joining voice chat on the Xbox but adjusted it to a good level with the friend I play with quite a bit. The one thing I am not sure what to do is adjust the game volume and the chat volume balance as that is grayed out in the audio settings and don't see a preset for that on the different button presses. Since I use discord mostly I just adjust the volume of those in voice chat to make it a so I can hear them over the game volume. Overall the Arctis GameBuds have worked well, nothing odd just a couple things that I think would make them a better experience. Some Chat/Game balance option. A way to use bluetooth along side of 2.4Ghz would be nice, since 2.4 can stop you from connecting to the mobile app, if changing games you will need to triple press to change mode, change any EQ or levels/settings you need to adjust them switch back to 2.4 for the receiver. It can occasionally connect to the phone at the same time, but I notice it work less often while in chat. Plus being able to have the audio from you phone play through your GameBuds while doom scrolling between matches would be nice for late night gaming. These are a great option otherwise, if you prefer Buds and want them to connect between your multiple devices saving you from needing a dedicated set for each.

Amazing gaming earbuds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly some of the most comfortable earbuds I’ve used, plus the sound is pretty great, too. Super convenient having wireless QI charging and the dongle being stored in the earbud case. Big gripe is needing a SECOND dongle to use with the Xbox, but that’s both a limitation in how the Xbox handles USB audio as well as Microsoft not including a USB-C in the console. Can’t fault SteelSeries for limitations Microsoft has imposed with their design and manufacturing. The app and Bluetooth work amazingly, I’m able to use it both for music as well as Discord on my phone. Biggest issue with the earbuds is that they can’t use Bluetooth AND 2.4GHz simultaneously like other SteelSeries headsets can do. This is especially frustrating as the earbuds DO connect to my iPhone’s Bluetooth when when playing console audio, evidenced by the phone showing Bluetooth connection before swapping modes, but still being unable to use both modes together.

Best Gaming Earbuds on the market!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used the Arctis Nova 7 headphones for about three years straight, but I didn’t like carrying them around. So, when I saw that new earbuds by SteelSeries were coming out, I just had to try them. These earbuds are some of the best gaming earbuds I’ve ever tried—much better than the Sony Inzone ones. They have almost the exact same range as the SteelSeries headphones. I like that the USB-C dongle is very small and comes with adapters, so you can use it with almost any computer. The earbuds last a pretty long time; I use them at around 90% volume, and they can last me around six hours with chat and noise cancellation enabled. They also charge quickly—taking about 30 minutes to get to 50% from 0%. The phone app offers over 200 sound profiles, allowing you to tweak the sound to perfection, so you can always find the right tuning. The case supports wireless charging, which is a great feature, and I also appreciate the physical side buttons that are customizable in the app. Yes, I would recommend these earbuds. In fact, I’d say they are the best gaming earbuds on the market right now. Other earbuds I’ve tried, like the ones from Sony, have had deal-breakers. But with these earbuds from SteelSeries, I can just sit back, forget they’re in my ears, and enjoy what I’m doing with no distractions.

Volume is super low!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these for use with ps5, series x, and pc. The bluetooth is great and the headphones sound really good. There is a vast number of equilizer settings, which is great, and the transparency and noise calcellation work well. However, they're pretty much useless to me because the volume using the dongle on ps5, series x, or pc makes the volume super low. I turned off volume limiter, turned up the console volume, and tried making custom eqs with sonar, and it didn't fix the issue. Steel series, please make the volume better. Until then, these are a 9 out of 10 would not recommend.

Love these for games and music
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These ear buds are my first experience with gaming earbuds, and it's been a really great experience so far. I've been using these for over a month for gaming on my PS5, my Switch and for listening to music. I even use these to listen to music and take calls under my helmet on my motorcycle. That experience has made me very impressed with the sound quality and the microphone. I did find out that it's very important to download the app for these ear buds. Without it, the sounds was ok, but with it the quality is so good. I've tried a bunch of the game-specific presets and that's been really fun to hear the difference. I've used the dongle on my PS5, Switch and on my PC and the sound while gaming is just as good as the headset I had been using. The bluetooth for connection has also been very solid for me when listening to music or taking calls on my phone. This has been a great purchase for me!

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great set of earbuds. I love the option of using Bluetooth and the dongle. Especially since it allows them to be used with everything. The software is good. Its nice to use an app on your phone or the software on the computer to make changes. Noise cancelation helps drown out outside sounds but they aren't completely gone.

Surprised with the quality compared to PS5 earbuds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These compare well to AirPods Pro and outperform Sony's Explore earbuds, which have an audio delay in Bluetooth mode (Arctis has no delay). Been waiting for this!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is on a SteelSeries - Arctis Gamebuds true wireless noise cancelling gaming earbuds for Xbox, PlayStation, PC, Switch, Mobile and VR. I have been waiting a long time for an earbud solution for Xbox. This is an excellent pair of earbuds. They sound great. Volume is loud and the bass is good. Battery life has been great so far. They fit perfectly inside the curve of my ears as if a mold had been created from my ears. They hold in place and I can sling my head around without them falling out. Setting them up is easy. They come with a USB-C to USB-A adapter to connect to your Xbox. Once the adapter is plugged in, all you have to do is pull them out of the case and they immediately connect. Put them in the case and hold down the buttons on the earbuds for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode and connect them to the Bluetooth device listed. Press a button once and you can swap between Bluetooth and 2.4 wireless. The app on mobile can turn features on\off\up\down or you can do it by the buttons on earbuds. The buttons are easy to push and you can tell when you have pushed them. There are many equalizer settings you can change between in the app on mobile or PC. All of them are tailored to popular games. One of them is for footsteps and yes it does enhance footsteps. Other equalizer settings are for music, movies or your own custom. You can turn ANC on\off or in transparency mode. I do not like ANC mode. They have a horrible overpowered popping sound when in ANC at full volume. You can turn it down to get rid of the sound. There is an update that you need to perform when you get them. It can only be done through the PC and it was a little difficult to find the program due to different titles. Once I installed it and connected the earbuds while in the case to the PC, it only took about 5 minutes to update. I think after the update it helped with ANC a little but the popping sound is still there. Really there is no need for ANC though. The difference between ANC on\off and transparency is barely noticeable other than the popping sound. I would recommend these to anyone looking to get away from those bulky and funny looking headsets while streaming or playing games.

My New Defacto Gaming Audio Experience
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really was not expecting to like gaming earbuds. I assumed that they wouldn’t have great separation, that audio quality would be worse, and that no one would be able to hear me online. I was wrong, the SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds are some of the best gaming headphones I’ve ever used including over the ear headsets. I’m in love with these and I’ve already convinced a friend to buy a pair too. You should too! Where to even start with all the things I like about these. First and foremost, audio across the board is great. Playing COD Black Ops 6 multiplayer, I had clear separation and was able to effectively listen for enemies. Playing Lethal Company with friends, I was regularly complimented on how good my mic sounded. And the noise cancelling effectively helped drown out all the random noises going on in my house. Battery life is great, I went through several long rounds of gaming without running out of juice and whenever I was done I just put the earbuds back in the case and set the case on my wireless charging pad, always ready to go. I found both the bluetooth and especially the 2.4g wireless to function beautifully. My entertainment cabinet is thick so sometimes 2.4g signals struggle to reach me on the couch and I have to leave a cabinet door open. Not here, the door was fully closed and I had no issues. I really can’t say enough about how much I love these earbuds. My one downside is that you have to plug in the headphones/case into a computer and download SteelSeries’ software, in order to update the firmware. The phone app simply says, download the app on your computer to update your firmware. That is a minor quibble though, the headphone are my new go-tos. And they should be yours too! Pros: Excellent audio quality Microphone rivals a full headset with boom mic Great noise cancelling Great battery life Handy case Strong 2.4g signal Comfortable Useful case Wireless charging Cons: Updating the firmware is a pain

Good earbuds for extended use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am happy with my purchase. I've used Sony linkbud S, and Pixel A buds prior to these steel series. I have small ears and comfort and stability is important to me. The Sony and Pixel earbuds would hurt and cause discomfort after 30mins of use or so as well as start moving out of place if I talk or move my jaw in anyway. I've used these steelseries for several consecutive hours multiple days this past week without any discomfort and I've only had to reposition once per session. The Bluetooth and 2.4ghz modes have also been convenient when receiving phone calls while playing games, however as they do advertise these buds do not give simultaneous audio from both sources, so while in the call I would not get any sound from the PC. This can be good or bad depending on situation or your setup but it works for me. I think the artist nova headset will do simultaneous audio if that's what you are looking for. Battery life has been good. They did not die on me in use during an 8 hour session so I'm happy. I haven't done any in-depth testing of charge rates and dissipation but I'm sure there will be someone who does. Audio quality is great, no complaints from me there. As for the mic, it's just okay. Even playing around with the settings it's no replacement for an actual mic. For me it does what I need. I give it five stars for working as advertised and meeting my needs.

Good gaming earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These true wireless earbuds are meant for gaming to connect to your Sony PlayStation 5 but also to your phone phone be it an iPhone or an Android device, PC or Nintendo Switch. You can even download an app for your iPhone or Android to control some functions of these earbuds. The case is also wireless Qi chargeable which is nice to have. You also get a dongle inside the case to use on pc, switch or PlayStation 5. You can also use Bluetooth for like your phone. You do need to connect it to your PC if you want to download the latest firmware or make custom EQ’s on their software. Nice to have but why can’t we do custom EQ’s through the mobile app on your phone ? Anyways they also have ANC which is nice. As terms of performance goes it’s nice to have an option for earbuds to use with my PlayStation 5 because sometimes I don’t like big over ears on my head. The mics work good enough but if you want the best quality I would go with the over the ear type headphones. Also used these a bit to listen to music as just earbuds and if you just want one device for gaming and music this will do fine.

Great if you prefer earbud alternative to gaming
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Steel Series newest gaming audio device. These are pretty simple to setup they come with a usb-c dongle to plug into your pc/laptop (usb-a) adapter included. They sync automatically to the adapter but you can also add a 2nd device via bluetooth and switch between them easy enough tapping on the earbuds themselves. The 2.4ghz connection to the pc is rock solid and have not experienced any issues there. The sound quality is medium I was not blown away by anything here but in my use case I like having just one earbud in to game and still have an open ear to deal with real life family drama. Bluetooth is pretty average what you would expect from any other pair of earbuds, nothing fancy to write home about here. The buttons themselves on the earbuds are mechanical meaning they actually press/depress which is nice and I didn't feel like I was crushing the earbuds into my ear canals using them. Of course there is yet another app to customize everything via steel series on your phone. Battery life is solid I have not had to stop gaming to recharge yet they have lasted through all my gaming sessions without interruption. Case is wireless charge compatible and charges via included usb c to usb c cable. Overall I think the best use case here is if you are dead set on wanting to game via earbuds instead of headphones this is it. You won't find much better suited for gaming and comfort, the connection over 2.4ghz is what really sets it apart from something like a bose or sony option. I'm not overly impressed overall I would rate them as average sound wise but they are perfect for what I was looking for in my particular gaming setup. Make sure you grab the right ones for your console/pc (xbox ones have a special chip so make sure to pay attention you are buying the correct ones).
