It’s a no go.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I could give these 0 stars I would. Maybe the wireless ones are better. I had major issues with the gamedac and had to return it. You would have to constantly restart it or an awful really loud blast of static would come through at random. When it was working correctly, they were really nice. Just not worth it to fight to get them to work for how much they cost.

No bass and bad background noise
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is zero bass. I went from an old hyper x headset that fell apart after so many years and sounded great. This headset is flat on sound no matter how much you alter it thru the gg app. Then there is the mic, it picks up so much background noise including keystrokes and mouse clicks and even if you set mic volume to 1 it still faintly picks it up, but then you are too quiet. I would not recommend this headset at all, its garbage imo.

Worst Headphones of all time.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted the best headphones i could buy at a reasonable price so i watched many videos saying this and the wireless version where really good. The disappointment and distrust i now have for many YouTubers is unmeasurable. I've never had headphones sound so bad i thought they where broken. The Mids and High-Mids are so piercing to the ears it's like taking one of those hearing test at a growing frequency. No matter what settings you adjust or look up online it sounds hallow or muffled yet piercing at the same time. The shape of the ear-covers are circle the shape of every human's ears i know are NOT circle. This makes for a part of the ear getting pinched and with the clamping force so high that you feel like a watermelon with 1million rubber-bands on your head you'll have to take them off many times and rest a few hours before going back in. As if you're fighting Mike Tyson. The only thing i can say good about these is the Mic was nice and software was easy to use. Along with many settings you can tweak. Not that they will help the sound quality. If you're wanting to spend lots of money to hear what the worst headphones of all time sounds like I'd go ahead and buy these. If you happen to like yourself and wish to get good sounding headphones maybe try Logitech Pro 2 Lightspeed or any $10 pair of headphones because I'm 100% sure the cheap $10 pair will sound close to if not better than these headphones.

Do Not Buy!!!!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first, I really enjoyed the comfort and sound quality. However, within a month of use, the mic started having issues. After around 3 months of use, the mic completely stopped working, but the rest of the headset worked fine. The support has been incredibly slow, with no response in weeks. This lack of support is really what makes me never want to buy another Steelseries product as you are on your own if something goes wrong

Very bad. Returned within a week
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is one big piece of garbage. So first off, the main appeal of this headset for me was the ability to switch between PC and PS5 with just the push of a button. That works. Chat mix doesn't work on the PS5, I don't think it's meant to. The headset feels too tight on my large head, the sound quality is not good, and the ear cushions make your ears heat up/sweat. Out of the box these sound very flat so you're stuck using Sonar to improve your listening experience. The Sonar software is really convoluted and creates like six different audio outputs for the PC... music, gaming, voice chat, and 2-3 others. I also feel like the software makes you lose a few FPS. My number one complaint however is that multiple times in MW3/Warzone my friends kept complaining that they could hear themselves echoing through my microphone. I tried many things to try to fix this but to no avail. Why should I have to lower voice chat audio to 40, lower my mic volume and use the pop filter etc. and still experience echo when there are other headsets that work perfectly out of the box? I exchanged these for wired Astro A40 with MixAmp and chat mix works great on both PC and PS5. They're also cheaper, more comfortable, they don't echo, and they sound better. This is sad because I actually love my Steelseries Apex Pro keyboard but this headset makes me think less of the company as a whole.

DO NOT BUY!!!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy this product unless you are okay with their software taking over your computer. This software kept overriding my windows admin permissions & continues to keep the default sound output to something I don’t want, and refuses to let me change it. I Reset my pc & it was fine until i reinstalled the steelseries software again. Then it went back to the same issue. So now i’m resetting my pc again & going to return this piece of *** for another headset. Thankfully I have another headset I can use in the meantime. Will be staying away from ALL steelseries products after this experience.

Waste of money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this headset on March 29th @ 1:28pm. The headset was found to be not working on April 20th @ 3pm. I only had this 300$+ headset for 21 days before it just stopped working. I am not rough with my things, and take good care of them, I put the headset into it's bag after I was done using it, and it never left my desk at home. I was the only one to use it in this time period, and had only gotten about 30 hours of usage out of it before it stopped working. Bestbuy stated they wouldn't accept a return for it because it was past the 15 day return policy (Even though I am a plus member, guess I'll be cancelling that pointless subscription), and that I would have to contact steelseries and to go through the warranty process with them. I can't wait until we get a microcenter I will never shop at best buy.

DO NOT BUY - SteelSeries Broke The Sidetone
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned this headset for right at 6 months. Sound-wise, it's great. However, that is all completely ruined by the terrible firmware that SteelSeries sends to the headset once it's set up. DO NOT accept this firmware. It destroys the sidetone entirely on the headset. It sounds like you're talking under water. It gives me a headache. I was told today by SteelSeries that the low sidetone is on purpose. I only kept the headset because I thought they were working to fix it. Save your money. This headset is garbage.
