Customers are saying
Customers enjoy the superb sound quality, amazing battery life, and comfortable design of the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless headset. Many appreciate its compatibility with multiple gaming platforms and the convenience of Bluetooth connectivity. However, some find the price to be high and the noise-canceling feature could be improved. A few users also mentioned that the software could be more user-friendly and the ear pads could be more substantial.

Amazing Sound, So So Comfort
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Headset is premium and feels very sturdy. Great adjustability and is comfortable with glasses. Sound quality is great and immersive. Sound can be tuned/adjusted using included DAC or SONAR software. I mostly play fps, survival and story driven games and this headset delivers on all fronts. Swappable batteries is awesome feature. ANC is on the weaker side compared to Bose or Sony. One issue I had is that the ANC piece did hit the inside of my ear, which caused me to purchase bigger earcups from wicked cushions. The headset should have came with bigger ear cups and should not rub the inside of the ear for the price.

A good update overall… Pricey for its faults…
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I got these to replace the previous Arctis Pro Wireless that only worked with PS4/5 and PC. These are very good headphones, and a good update to the Arctis lineup. They are unique because they work with both PS5 and Xbox wirelessly. Very few gaming headsets on the market work with both consoles. The audio quality is good out of the box and is customizable with a computer and Steelseries’ software. They also have Bluetooth and can be used while playing as well for those who like to have audio from their phone while playing their games. These are also a pretty normal looking, not heavy, bulky, or full gamer aesthetic so you could use them outside no problem. The fit on the head is a big improvement over previous Steelseries headsets thanks to their new adjustable design. These still have the replaceable dual battery system so one battery charging in the base while you’re using the other. Also includes a headphone jack so you can use them wired without the base if you’re on the go. Now for the bad… Because these are specific made to work with Xbox (thanks for the proprietary nonsense Microsoft) chat mix will work on the Xbox but not the PS5. Using it is a little more inconvenient thanks to the removal of the separate volume wheels from the previous Arctis Pro. Now you have to click the one volume wheel to adjust it. It can be a bit annoying for on the fly adjustment. The ANC feature is not great considering how expensive these headphones are. Too much cabin pressure for mediocre ANC performance. Honestly I just leave it off. And now my biggest complaint. The microphone on these is a huge letdown. Because of the smaller ear cups, the retractable mic is shorter than the previous Arctis Pro Wireless. I have a larger head and this become an issue because the Mic doesn’t each the front of my mouth like Steelseries intends it too. This leads to my voice either being too quiet or not picked up. I have to pull the mic all the way out and literally almost in the side of my mouth in order to be heard. It’s also less robust than the older model. I’ve already had to replace one pair because the mic stopped working completely. Overall these are a very good gaming headset with a lot of features and some annoying faults. The real question is whether these features are worth the price for you.

My review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TL:DR – Costly headset, great audio, great build quality, lots of features, tiny ANC speaker is annoying and can cause discomfort, ears may get sweaty after long use. Look for aftermarket ear cushions with cooling gel. If you have the cash for it, then get it. If you want to continue reading I got some notes for pros and cons. Watch a youtube video review on these things which is what I did. My 4star review is mostly because of this stupid Active Noise Cancelling speaker built into the ear cup. I'll start with the cons first, which I think they're tolerable. Major con is this little speaker installed in the middle of the ear cup. This is meant for Active Noise Cancelling. Depending on the shape of your ear and/or the position of the headset, this speaker can rub up against parts of your ear. After a while this could potentially cause irritation and pain. Something I would recommend Best Buy do is have this headset on display to allow you to try it on and wear/feel it out for yourself. Some people don’t have any issues with this, others might. I unfortunately am part of the few that would have to deal with this. I don’t really use ANC, I’m thinking of putting some kind of felt around the speaker to potentially ease the pressure of the edge rubbing against my ear. A slight con is the material used for the ear cushion, again in order to achieve Active Noise Canceling, SteelSeries made their cushion out of a type of material that could trap heat, after long sessions of wearing this headsets your ears may get sweaty. I’m not sure if SteelSeries or a 3rd party will make cushions with cooling gels but heres hoping. At times you may hear some cracks in your audio, it hasn’t been a bad issue for me but its noticeable. The price... For what it’s worth this headset comes loaded with features and can do things that other headsets can’t. You could almost call it a complete package, which in case you’re paying for it. You may not need some of these features, case in point the ANC which I don’t use. You could do as good or good enough with a cheaper headset and get about the same audio or build quality. Now for the pros. This headset is loaded with features, hot swapable battery, ability to use both bluetooth and wireless connection at the same time, ability to control chat and game volume directly from the headset, retractable mic boom, EQ settings both on software and in the dongle, the build quality is nice the headset doesn’t feel flimsy, the audio settings are amazing, software allows you to tweak the EQ to your liking. The part about the swappable battery, you can charge your spare battery from the dongle that connects to your devices, or you can plug in a USB C cable directly into the headset and charge that way, battery life lasts a while. The mic is amazingly sensitive, I had to use the software to tone it down. This may sound like a con, but I was using Astro A40 headsets before, and no matter what people couldn’t seem to hear me at times unless I was shouting. So the mic on this headset is a night and day difference. The audio sounds amazing, for the average user they may not be able to tell the difference other than this headset sounds good, for anyone else that is an audiophile, you couldn’t do much better using these. There are other headsets which apparently sound even better but they may be lacking in features. Ignoring the ANC speaker that can cause some irritation, this headset feels comfortable around the ear and head. It feels snug enough for me that it’s not squeezing my head and it’s not too loose where it’s going the fall off the moment I look down. The range for wireless is good, I’ve used this headset around the house and at the office, walked past some walls and an elevator, didn’t lose connection.

||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great headset. I have been using for over 2 years now without an issue. I did have to replace one of the batteries but it did last for over a year before failing to charge. They are vey comfortable for multi hour gaming sessions. Good sound quality. Clear mic for game chat and phone calls. I will wear them when cleaning house to listen to books or music via bluetooth frequently. ANC is not as good as my Sony MX4's but in my home it is more than sufficient. Highly recommend

Not sure they're worth the price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these headphones to replace my aging Sony 1000XM4's. My XM4's are having a hard time with my laptops Intel Wifi 6E AX210 cards Bluetooth cutting out every now and then which was never an issue with the Previous laptop, but I also wanted to get away from the BT connection and try a dedicated transmitter. I can say these go a further distance wirelessly and through more walls than my XM4's, but the ANC is not nearly was powerful. These headphones would greatly benefit from aftermarket ear pads. Im hoping someone like Dekoni makes some super soft leather pads to replace the stock on these as pressing the OEM pads slightly against your ears when worn greatly improves the ANC by isolating the ears more. Overall I have tried to get these to sound similar to the XM4's and have come close, but they arent quite as good. They are close, but the XM4's I feel like have slightly more range of sound at both the high end and low (this is using the SONAR software on PC to adjust). If I want to listen to music, I find myself switching back to my XM4's. If I had to do it again, I probably would have tried the XM5's. The pod with the digital read out is unique and the temps/usage for GPU/CPU are a nice touch when gaming, but the display being black and white loses its appeal after a few mins. Build quality is sturdy, but the circle caps are being held on via magnets. The one side that houses the battery, seems like its barely being held in place, but it hasnt fallen off yet. The battery charger in the pod base is also a little odd. You press it in and down somewhat like an NES game cartridge. This initially threw me because it kept popping out and wouldnt stay in to charge. But pressing it down once in, it stays.

Worth every penny? Maybe
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The look, the feel, oh and of course, the sound! These are wonderful. Ill compare them to the logitech g pro x wireless. Why do I have both? Because I got an xbox series x and the pro x’s dont work with it. I love my pro xs - in comparison the pro xs are my daily work headphones, and are a bit “sturdier” feeling than the nova pros - the reason i dont bust out the nova pros for work is because theyre so nice i dont like taking them out of the case! The nova pros are much lighter and the ANC is a nice touch, although not super effective. The setup, contrary to whatsome people say is pretty simple. Mine easily switch from xbox to pc and back with the tap of a button. Do yourself a favor and download the sonar app to really unlock the full potential of this premium headset. The extra battery is amazing, youll never have to plug in and youll stay truly “wireless”

Best gaming headset at this price point and beyond
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve owed many top end gaming headsets and they always seem to fall short of expectations. This headset has surpassed my expectations. The ability to separate sound while keeping the bass without making the overall sound muddy is unmatched by the competition at this price range. I play COD heavy and after a quick adjustment to the EQ I’m calling out enemy direction before my teammates hear them. The separate Bluetooth is a great option as they are also good for music or YouTube videos. The ANC (active noise cancellation) is great. Having 2 batteries and quick swap outs means I’ve never had to find a charge cord mid game. Only real complaint is you can hear a very slight high pitch noise when the ANC is off and there’s no sound. Very minor but it’s still an issue.

Top of the line, Swiss army knife of headsets!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay, so at $350, they're a bit pricey. Let's get that out of the way. Especially considering that the Geeksquad protection (which I feel is mandatory on something like this) is $129. It's crazy to think that the cost of the headset plus the Geeksquad is almost as much as a brand-new Series X or PS5. However, I was fortunate to pick them up when they went on sale for $100 off. All that being said, they are amazing!! I have all three consoles and many Bluetooth devices, so I definitely wanted something that would function properly with everything. I love the fact that I can simultaneously use Bluetooth on my mobile phone while using either console. It's a feature that has become mandatory for me. I answer work calls, or pipe in some tunes to listen to while I'm gaming. This is truly the best, most comprehensive gaming headset available. The extra swappable battery is fantastic, you never run out of juice. The base station gives you ridiculous range and quick access to the most needed features on the fly. For more in depth customization, all you need to do is hook them up to your computer and you can make adjustments to EQ and functionality to suite your taste. My only "complaint" is that the not so little ANC nub they attached to each speaker rubbed very uncomfortably against both of my ears when I first bought them. I don't hold that against Arctis though, it's impossible for them to design something that is going to work perfectly for every head and ear size and shape. Especially when your features are XL like mine. Not everyone is going to experience the issue with the "nub" but it's definitely something you should be aware of, because if you're like me and you can feel it, it's completely unacceptable. Purchasing an upgraded aftermarket earpad will solve this problem. I was already planning on replacing the stock earpads with an aftermarket set made by a great company I have purchased earpads from before. They weren't available when I bought the headset, so sadly I had to put up with the nub for a little while, but they are available now and I would recommend doing some research and picking up a set of the aftermarket earpads regardless of if you can feel the "nub" or not. If you're comfortable spending this much on a headset, just go the distance and get a set of aftermarket earpads as well. It's the cherry on top of an otherwise absolutely stellar headset.

Good Headset`
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is really nice. Fits comfortably on my head. The sound is great. The ANC could be a bit better but don't mind since I am not always using it. Wireless is great so you aren't restricted to a length with a cord.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At the time I'm writing this review the headset retails before tax at 350$ so close to 380$ after tax. I've owned this headset for about a month and a half. I CANNOT say this headset is worth the money. *****I use this headset on Xbox and PC****** My biggest complaint is the power button on the headset does multiple things: 1. Turns the ANC OFF and ON (single click) 2. Turns the transparent mode ON and OFF (double click) And 3. Then turns the power off and on. (hold button) The cool LED display they have does not show you if you ANC IS TURNED OFF OR ON you just have to know. Same goes for transparent mode LED display does NOT tell you if its turned on but that honestly is very obvious when turned on. This button you use isn't the most responsive to be honest it feels cheap it sometimes takes me multiple tries to turn the ANC back on after I noticed I turned it off. I think I accidently turn the ANC OFF when trying to power down the headset. This headset needs a dedicated power button or switch. Alright now for the other not great things this headset does but cost 350$. There is a microphone in both ear pieces that can touch your ear. I don't have big ears by any means but I find myself having to have the headset just right or my ear will ever so slightly be touching which is a small thing but this headset cost 350$ so I'm gonna pick. Another dumb thing is that you can put these batteries in the charger backwards. I did it when I first got the headset and it got stuck in the charger. I had to do some serious finessing to get it out which cause some scratching to happen around the charger. My mistake ill take the blame but it was very easy to slide into the wrong spot and get stuck. That's my only point there. I feel like I'm missing some stuff but that's about all the problems I see in this headset. It does do a lot of things right and the sound quality is good. I just feel like the price is too much.

Uncomfortable
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Price is very steep for what you get. Sound quality of games is good, mic quality is not. You will sound very nasally to others. Was very to setup and being wireless is great. Having a extra battery charging in the dock is wonderful and is just a swap away. The main reason i cant recommend these is that there are 2 pea sized protrusions in the earcups for the ANC that constantly rubbed against my ears no matter what i did.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this headset, except for one thing. The bump on the inside of the ear for the ANC. I understand the design however they should have made fhe war cups thicker. I gave 5 stars because for $30 you can buy replacement ear pads that work better than stock and remove my conplaint. Great sound, software works as expected and the virtual sound settings in the application work really well.

None stop ear pain
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never leaves reviews and i have bought hundreds of things online.i really wanted to like thjs headset, but there is one major flaw on this headset. The built in ANC in the headset is plastic piece inside of the headset, which after a short period of time it presses againdt your ears. No matter what I did it just hirt non stop...ianother con is the microphone isnt that great, but steelseries isnt known for their microphones. The audio sounded really good, but the one major flaw cant be overlookef and many have said the same thing about this headset.

Good sounds for gaming, wireless goodness!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound of this is perfect for gaming and movies. Music sounds a bit too bass-y for my liking. Wireless with good quality sound and range and volume!! Almost perfect!! The ONLY caveat for me, the most annoying part is the ANC Knob. It does hit you in the ears, but to some they don't. So it really depends on the user. But to prevent it from hitting you can get wicked cushions (3rd party padding) so give the extra padding for it. But I do not want to spend another $40 +tax to make a $350 headset + tax comfortable. I I returned this. I'm not its target market. TL|DR; Good product with an uncomfortable feature to some.

Issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have went through 2 of these headsets in a month, the first was ordered online and came pretty quick. The headset was working for about 3 days before 1 of the batteries started dying and was only lasting about 2 or 3 hours on a full charge. After 6 days it started having issues where it would randomly disconnect and reconnect with no warning and sometimes habe to be manually reconnected with the base station. The dual bluetooth is nice when it works but half the time when connected to your console and phone at the same time the phone audio would just cut out and not work. After i returned and got another the second started having similiar issues but this time instead if battery issues it was having audio quality issues. With volume at about half any explosions or music with deep bass would cause the headset to pop or crinkle, i had the eq set at almost flat and it still did it. The headset has almost no bass without changing the eq but doing so was bottoming out the speakers. Also this has been praised for making footsteps louder but when they are so loud and it cant reproduce where thwy are coming from exactly you look left when they are on your right, it almost like mono audio instead of spatial like its supposed to be. The anc bulb is also very annoying after an hour you can really feel it pushing on your lobe and the noice cancellation is negligible at best while cutting battery life in half if left on. Sidetone creates a very annoying hum. This headset has so many qc and design issues that you should go with with something else.

Only on problem
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am giving this a 4 star review due to one flaw; the ANC piece inside the ear cuff causes a lot of discomfort with prolonged use. For a headset of this value this is an obvious flaw. However, there is a company that offers alternative pads which I will be ordering to try and solve this issue. Other than this I am very happy with this headset with my previous being the Astro A50’s.

Best headphones for a variety of platforms
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What I really enjoy about these headphones over the other entries like the 7x is that the EQ settings you set on the PC stay on the DAC so it applies to any platform you switch to. Only caveat would be the microphone inside the ear cups for ANC. It hasnt bothered me, but i can see it annoying some people.
