Thank god I did because the loop on the side where the carabiner attaches for the shoulder strap broke yesterday and the bag (with my laptop inside) hit a hard concrete floor. My laptop sustained a little damage, but at least it still turns on. The loop on the handle side was not secured with sewing as far as I can tell. Mind you, my laptop and its power cord are the only two things with any weight I put in this bag; no heavy textbooks, binders, or folders. It should be able to handle that much. The quality is incredibly poor at $50, let alone $90. Don't waste your money, and don't risk your laptop breaking. The return policy lasts for 15 days, so unless you want to buy a new bag every few months, shop somewhere else.
