However, after a few months of use, I started noticing dark spots appearing on the screen, possibly due to pixel bleed or backlight issues. These spots are quite noticeable, especially in darker scenes, which affects the viewing experience. While the TV performs well initially, the appearance of these dark spots is disappointing. Hopefully, TCL can address this issue in future models or provide better durability.

Great picture but thats when it stays on rhe setti

The picture of clarity is straight, but at times I keep having to change the setting. The sound quality is sometimes great. With them at times it just sounds too muffled. I feel to return it after less than a month of having it

Apple TV semi-compatible, OS questionable

However unfortunately, I believe that's it. We purchased this TV to furnish our rental home. The Operating System takes forever to load, and is quite sluggish. Before you can move from one option to another, the system freezes - this even after we updated said OS. We figure, we're hooking it up to our Apple TV so we won't have to deal with the sluggish Operating System. This was not the case. For some reason, the TV will occasionally not recognize the Apple TV's control, so you will have to switch on the TV manually, using its own remote. With our Samsung, the Apple TV remote controls the Apple TV, Entertainment Center, and TV. Quality control is also questionable as when we received our TV, there was a slight dark spot at the corner of the screen. Fortunately, it isn't noticeable until you start looking hard. So all in all, you get what you paid for and this TV has a great screen. But I wouldn't count on it to work seamlessly with your other living room devises.

Poor connection

Bad OS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First and last firetv I'll buy. First, I really can't stand the menu compared to Roku. It makes no sense and the only part I use is the smallest displayed section. Plus the remote app is super glitchy, especially when typing which is the #1 time you would rather use it. Also there's no earbud option, I loved that about the Roku tv that my wife and I could both watch TV with two pairs of earbuds while the baby was sleeping. Even just switching to a Bluetooth audio device is super clunky. The remote occasionally "hits" the volume button too many times, changing 3-4 notches instead of one. The screen quality is amazing, shocking to me that this is an entry level TV. But I will never own another fire product.

The controls are not very responsive. The fire tv quality features for watching your apps cuts off randomly. It freezes. But I guess for the price the picture quality is pretty good.

Do not buy if you have no Amazon account

If it is not Fire TV I will love it better. Until run through set up I figure out that TV will not be good without Amazon account. This is the last Fire TV I purchase.

It’s okay….

The good seemingly outweighs the bad with this TV. For the price it really can’t be beat and it does work well for the most part. It was easy to set up and all the apps I like to use were easily added to the home screen. Clarity of picture is somewhat off especially when using Prime Video, TV doesn’t seem to have any issues when using my Apple TV or Xbox X (admittedly, I may need to tweak settings). Another thing that lowered my opinion is the fact it won’t connect via arc to my soundbar. Overall, had I had a better budget I probably would’ve chosen a different brand.

Decent

It comes with a lot of adaptive features that try to enhance the quality which tend to have the opposite affect. After turning them all off the tv was a lot more bearable. I would recommend this as a decent budget buy. I highly encourage the addition of a good streaming device to combat the sluggish platform that comes with the tv. Overall for what I paid I’m happy with the purchase.

Freezes
