AZ80: comfort, quality, and ANC perfected

The Panasonic Technics EAH-AZ80 premium HiFi earbuds are a strong contender in the high-end earbud market, holding their own against big-name brands with a mix of comfort, impressive audio quality, and advanced features. Here’s my take on its standout features and overall performance: Key Features: Sound Quality: Let’s dive into what matters most: Sound Quality. Having tested 20+ pairs of mid- to high-end earbuds, I’d place the AZ80s firmly in my top five. The audio profile offers well-balanced bass and clear highs right out of the box, making it versatile for all genres. Thanks to the 10mm dynamic drivers, the earbuds deliver punchy bass and crisp treble without distortion, even on the “Super Bass” setting in the app. If you’re someone who enjoys detailed, immersive sound, the AZ80s are right up there with the leaders in the current market. Noise Cancellation: The dual hybrid ANC technology is a standout, effectively muting background noise across various environments. I tested it during calls in a busy intersection, and my callers reported clear audio with minimal background interference. A feature I found particularly helpful is the ear tip fit test on the app, which ensures you’re using the right ear tip for optimal noise isolation. This is a game-changer for those, like me, who have struggled with finding the perfect fit in other earbuds. Multipoint Connectivity: Equipped with Bluetooth 5.3, the AZ80s support seamless three-device multipoint pairing. This feature makes it easy to switch between my phone, laptop, and tablet without a hitch—perfect for anyone juggling work calls, streaming, and multitasking throughout the day. Comfort and Fit: Lightweight with an aluminum trim that adds a touch of premium feel, these earbuds are designed for extended wear. They come with multiple ear tip sizes for a secure and comfortable fit. I wore them for hours, including during treadmill workouts, and they stayed put without causing any discomfort. Battery Life: With up to 7 hours of listening time on a single charge with ANC on (and around 25 hours total with the charging case), the AZ80s deliver solid battery life. The charging case ensures you have enough power for a full day of listening without needing a midday recharge. App Integration: The Technics Audio Control app is a great addition, offering customizable options for ANC, EQ Customization, and ear tip fit test for secure fit and optimal noise isolation. It adds flexibility and lets you fine-tune your listening experience to suit your preferences. Overall Impression: These earbuds are comfortable enough for all-day use, and their strong audio performance, effective noise cancellation, and handy multipoint connectivity make them a worthy contender in the premium market. If you're in the market for high-end earbuds, the Technics EAH-AZ80 is definitely worth a try.

These are among the best sounding earbuds and some of the most comfortable to wear, that I have reviewed over the past 5 years. The app is easy to use, too, and can really make a difference in getting the right EQ settings to make them sound their best. The buds store in their charging case, which was charged up enough that I was able to quickly pair them to my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and start listening to them immediately. I’ve owned a lot of Technics audio equipment over several decades and couldn’t wait to test these out. They sounded pretty good, but not as good as expected, which was because I was listening using the default Samsung music player app and it was EQed for my bone conduction Shokz Run Pro II. Not to mention, that Samsung’s music app’s EQ operates in an odd bass-ackward way. Anyways, I changed EQ settings and that helped quite a bit. Later, when time permitted, I downloaded the Technics Sound Connect app and followed its directions for setting up the earbuds. It takes you through selecting the best fitting earpieces for the least amount of sound leakage. Very nice! Audio Quality: After that, I went back to the Samsung music app, set its EQ to a flat response, went back to Technics app and adjusted its graphic EQ, which operates like normal for cutting or boosting frequency bands. They sounded much better now. Then I went back to the Samsung music app and played around with its graphic EQ again for a little extra tweaking and notice they had changed it to operate like normal like I mentioned above in a very recent OS update. Between the two, I got a sound I really liked. Then it was time to try them on the SiriusXM app, with its audio quality set at the highest level. I was impressed. It was almost on par with my FLAC files. I guess SiriusXM has either upped their game recently or these are better than my Galaxy Buds Pro and Master and Dynamic buds. So, I got those buds out to compare and I concluded that SiriusXM must have recently improved their streaming sound quality. At least on the channels I was listening to. All three sounded pretty similar, but I think the Technics edged the other two out in overall audio quality. Especially for nice tight, deep, bass. I listened to artists like Steely Dan, Alan Parsons, Pink Floyd and similar music to test them. Also, classic and 80s-90s country, as well classic rock from the 60s to the early 80s. Sorry, no rap, metal or recent over processed music. But, I’m sure it will sound good in them too. 😉 Active Noise Cancelling: ANC is good, but not the best as in some the buds I have reviewed. The best, so far, goes to the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. Even my Sony WF-SP800N beats them. Here are the extreme tests I used: mowing my yard, running a leaf blower, shop vac and using power tools. Also, hallways full of noisy children at schools. Get a nice tight fit in the ear canal with the Samsungs and you will hardly hear the mower, tools or kids. The Sonys were close. The Technics did ok, but not nearly as good as the Samsungs. For other noise environments that are not so extreme, they did fine. Call Quality: Compared to the Sony and Sammy earbuds, the Technics were the best in every case. I tried all three walking around outside and in the wind at times. I tried all three walking down noisy hallways full of children in schools. I also tried all three while in my personal vehicle, ‘17 Honda Ridgeline RTL, and work vehicle, ‘22 Ford F-250 XL. Pros: Great app and set up to use, EQ and other adjustments. Mention how playback EQ can be different depending on the app used. Such as Samsung’s music player app’s weird EQ. Fits securely in ears and comfortable to wear. Ear tips fit on them snugly. Excellent call quality both ways. Nice charging case – USB-C. Cable included. Excellent sound quality. Especially when you get it EQed to your taste. Deep tight bass and crisp clean highs. Never harsh. Wireless charging. Up to 3 devices connected to them at once. 10mm drivers. Cons. Noise reduction and cancellation could be better. When using while mowing my yard, ANC wasn’t even close to as good as my Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro and Sony WF-SP800N earbuds. To block out moderate noise, they are OK. Could be fatiguing if worn for a long time. Think sore ear canals. Notes: 7.5 hours run time, extended up to 25 hours with charging case. I think these are good for blocking moderate noise at best. Conclusion: Excellent sound quality after a little EQ tweaking, and it can depend on what app you’re playing music from. Excellent call quality. Comfortable fit. The only weakness is the ANC in certain situations mentioned above. An easy recommendation.

I am a programmer and I use headphones for 5+ hrs every weekday. These are the headphones I've considered in this comparison review Sony XM4, XM5, Sennheiser Momentum 4, Sony ULT Wear The negatives: The lack of bass. I don't think it has any base. If you are listening to rock, you will hear the bass guitar just fine but you wont really hear the kick from the drummer. I know these are in ear headphones but the extremely buggy and a pain to deal with Sennheiser Momentum 4s beat these guys in sound. That being said, these are very very close to it. The lag when you are using touch controls on ear pieces. This is apparent to me especially when I am trying to tap it twice to get to the next song. Often, it wont register the second tap and will just pause the song as if I had one tapped it. Even when it registers correctly, there is a half second delay till it actually applies the command. The positives: Super comfy. I noticed at work I just don't take these off anymore. I constantly took off the other headphones I mentioned above. Noise cancelling: Wow... Seriously impressive. I can compare this to the Sennheisers because both of them I've had in the same environment and pretty much one after another. These are amazing. Almost as amazing as the over the ear XM4s. Seriously impressed. The battery: As I said, these are on my ears the whole time I am at work. After 7+ hrs of active noise cancellation, close to my leaving the work time (I dont take lunch) I get a notification saying "charge the headset" but it never dies till I leave from work. I can safely say I get 8 hours of ANS with these which super impressive. The 10 minute drive I do to my gym after work gives me back almost %80 of charged headphones. Great deal Connectivity: Never had a single issue. It just connects to things that I expect it to connect when I turn them on and stays connected. Sound: Even though I'd like to have the bass little more pronounced, it really does sound crisp and clear. It still has bass I just wish there were just a little more I've used all those headphones from minimum of a month(Sennheisers) to a 3 years(XM4s). I was going to try the Denons but I am keeping these. I don't need to get anything else. Great headphones.

    My New Favorite Premium Earbuds!

I've been using the Technics AZ80s everyday now for the past week and a half. Out of all flagship earbuds I've owned in the past, these are by far the best sounding earbuds I've had the pleasure of using. However, do bear in mind that if you're looking for headphones that produce loads of maximum volume, these AZ80s are not it. While they produce a respectable level of volume, these earbuds are more geared toward providing a premium Hi-Res wireless audio experience. What you end up with is a very balanced and optimally tuned soundstage. Not only do these sound great, but they're also feature packed. They have some of the best ANC I've ever used, multi-point connectivity, great battery performance, support for SBC/AAC/LDAC codecs, IPX4 water resistant (for earphones, not the case), a plethora of earpiece sizes and shapes to find the right fit, and a supported wireless Qi charging case. In terms of the audio performance, on the default EQ setting (i.e. "Direct"), you get a very wide and open soundstage. Vocals are incredibly clear and rich, treble & mids sound crisp, and the bass is perfectly balanced (punchy bass with a decent level of depth). While the default EQ preset is perfectly suitable for most music genres, the Technics "Audio Connect" application is a must download on Android or iOS due to the copious amounts of customization options available. I've used these earbuds extensively with my Samsung S22 Ultra. If you're on Android, then you're in for a special treat; LDAC enabled audio! In order to enable the LDAC codec I did have to enable LDAC in the Audio Connect app first. Only then was an LDAC toggle option available under my "Bluetooth connection settings". Music with LDAC enabled on my S22 Ultra plus the Technics AZ80s is a match made in heaven. The music genres I've listened to the most while using these AZ80s has been electronic/techno, country, hip hop, metal, classic rock, jazz, and classical. The EQ presets "bass+" and "super bass+" complemented the electronic/techno and hip hops genres perfectly. For classical, country, and jazz, I loved the "dynamic" and "treble+" presets. The result was a a very clear, clean, and open sound stage that really allowed me to discern the different instruments. Of course, you also have the option to create your own custom EQ presets. I'm a huge fan of "Multipoint" feature with these AZ80s. They allow you to have up to 3 bluetooth devices paired at the same time. As far as I know, these are the only earbuds on the market that allow for up to 3 devices. Do bear in mind, however, that having LDAC enabled only allows for up to 2 devices. Switching between multiple devices was flawless for me. I noticed that for the most seamless transition, it helped to pause or minimize whatever content I was listening to between switching over to another device. The fit of the Technics AZ80s on my average sized ear canals are very snug and comfortable. In fact, these might be the most comfortable in-ear headphones I've used. I was pleasantly surprised as they are fairly large earbuds in comparison to some other earbuds on the market. I've taken these to the gym and have done resistance training, I've ran with them, and I've also rowed with them. I'm happy to report that these are great workout companions that shouldn't fall out of your ears so as long you choose the correct earpiece size. Also, since they're IPX4 certified, getting sweat on them wasn't a concern. Technics includes 7 different earpiece silicone sizes all the way from various extra small sizes all the way to extra large so that you find the most comfortable fit as well as the best seal for ANC. Speaking of ANC, it is bar none the best ANC I've experienced on any in-ear headphones. Not only did it do a fantastic job of drowning out all the background noise around me, but it allowed me to customize the level of ANC that I wanted applied to my surroundings via a slider wheel on the Audio Connect app. The same goes for the Ambient Sound settings which allows the earbuds to detect natural voices around you and emphasizes those sounds over your music. This is such a useful feature for me at work as I tend to work with earbuds on. This allows me to hear my co-workers if they're trying to get my attention which also beats having to pause the music or take my earbuds off. These Technics AZ80s have proven to be the complete package for me. Not only are they the best sounding earbuds I've heard, but they come packed full of premium features that are useful for my everyday life such as ANC, multipoint, and their versatility in the gym. They also have a long battery life providing up to 7 hours of life (real world use for me with LDAC enabled and high volume was more like 5 to 5.5 hrs) plus 24 hours of backup battery with the charging case. The charging case is also Qi certified so it can be charged wirelessly! A 15 minute "quick charge" session also provides an additional 70 minutes of playback! If you're looking for a premium audio experience in a portable form factor, I highly recommend checking these out.

I listen to voluminous amounts of music and I was anxious to get my hands on this Panasonic - Technics Premium HiFi True Wireless Earbuds with Noise Cancelling, and Wireless Charging - product. I already own around 5 different earbud products from various manufacturers and I truly love this Panasonic-Technics set of earbuds. They have a super comfortable wear, look great and the sound is awesome. I have several favorite songs that I listen to and play almost daily and these earbuds produce sharp, clear crisp sound reproductions! Amazing highs and low bass sounds abound! I’m hearing more enhanced sounds that I’m used to hearing with my “other buds”. Battery life is expansive if you consider the case adds extra listening life to these earbuds. These earbuds have controls on both the left and right sides which are easily accessed and they are customizable too! The Technics Audio Connect is great. It works well with my iPhone 13 Pro and pairing these buds was quick and effortlessly! The app is highly customizable and I found it to bug free. The choice of customization is huge and one of my favorite tweaks is to have my music cease or stop when buds are removed from ears. Upon inserting them once again your music selection picks up exactly where you left off! You can also utilize multipoint for several music sources. You are also able to preset a music listening favorite and save it. I can go on and on but suffice to say that this product beats all competition hands down. I’m always skeptical when it comes to noise cancellation claims but I was quite surprised with the results. I am within earshot of a major thoroughfare so I decided to sit in my backyard to see just how effective it was. Usually I can hear the big rigs (18 wheelers) rumble in the distance. When I tested this product I truly heard only music with these earbuds! No extraneous sounds bled through during my listening experience. That was also true for receiving and talking on the phone. Pure sound with no bleed through. Amazing! I am absolutely thrilled with this product. Fantastic sound abounds with rich bass and superior treble. This product is a Winner!

I really like these earbuds. I often have problems with earbuds falling out of my ears when I’m active. The Technics - Premium HiFi True Wireless Earbuds with Noise Cancelling earbuds do NOT fall out nor do they move positions in my ear. They are so comfortable. They do NOT make my ear itch like some earbuds do. I must really have strange ear canals as I seem to require a different size earbud pads in each ear. These earbuds come with a total of 14 pads so it was easy to find the ones that not only fit comfortable but also worked well with the noise canceling benefit. I wish the light that tells if they are fully charged stayed on when I open the lid of the charging case. There are two lights that come on immediately upon opening but one goes off in just a few seconds. I have to look quick. The case and the earbuds are easy to charge with the enclosed (very short) cord. It does not come with a charging block but m phone charging block worked perfectly. The case is light enough that I can just leave it hanging in mid-air when charging without any problems. The sound is amazing both when talking on phone or listening to music/podcasts. So far it has been water resistant as I wear it when I sweat and in light rain showers. Being a gal my shoulder length hair does protect them some from sweat and rain. These are perfect for wearing when I’m cleaning and don’t have my phone on me. The company says the Maximum Wireless Range 33 feet but I have no idea. So far I have had no problems with cutting out or disconnecting when my phone is in an other room. I am well pleased with these top of the line earbuds. They were easy to set up and sync with my phone using the free APP. Oh yeah and they come with a manual which is rare these days. I did need a magnifying glass to read it though.

Upgrading from beats pro earbuds, so was hesitant. Im not the typical user because i use my headphones for everything (work, gym, outdoor chores) so comfort is almost always priority. After using the medium standard earbud tips, i figured i was bound to return these because once i would start sweating they would start slipping out. The beats were top tier because of the wings that lock them in your ear. After trying out the tips (and using the built in app tester) and finding the appropriate size it was a huge difference. These buds lock into your ear canal by twisting them in and they hold in pretty well. The sound are amazing on these compared to beats, and they have alot of touch functionality, which helps avoiding to pull outnyour phone while working out. Mic is really solid, i haven't gotten any complaints from the wife when we are on the phone. The ANC is customizable to what degree of soundblocking you want from 0-100, which is a cool feature using the app. You only have the option of switching from "ANC on" to "ambient" via the earbuds. You can switch it off via the app. The only con i can probably say after owning them for a couple of weeks would be, i can kind of hear my steps (probably ANC or earbud ergonomicd related) when walking around. I haven't tried these running since i own some shokz and some jbl headphones. This is me really just nit-picking but overall these headphones supercede my expectations. Oh also just a heads up, the build quality on these are very solid. I was working on my roof hanging lights (before finding the correct tips for me) when one of my earbuds decide to yeet itself off my roof. Rolled about 60 feet and flew off a 10ft roof on to my driveway. Got off the roof, put my music on max, and located my earbud. There was very little to no damage after that epic adventure and they continued working properly as before.

It's been years since I've come across the Technics brand. I remember them as making really high end receivers years ago when I was growing up. So I was very surprised to see the brand name resurface with these earbuds. And boy did they get it right. These are hands down the best earbuds I've ever used, from comfort, to features, to sound. Everything about them is perfect. First, the most important attribute of earbuds, sound. The sound is so crisp, everything I listened to, from Nina Simone to the National sounded like I was hearing the music anew. The lows and highs all hit the perfect pitch. Not to mention these earbuds have the most fully customizable sound via the app so you can tune it to how you like it. Second, these buds have a very comfortable fit. They come with an arsenal of different sized tips, so there is likely a size for everyone. They stick in you ear with a little twist, and I've never felt like they loosened over time. Third, they look great. The case and the outside of the earbuds have a milled finish, giving them a very high end appearance. Fourth, the app is the best I've seen. Everything is fully customizable, from the sound to the amount of ambient noise you want to let through. And last but not least, these are the only earbuds I've used that allows me to connect to multiple devices. I've owned multiple pairs of earbuds that have been rendered useless because the pairing function eventually breaks down from constantly pairing and unpairing. I have these paired to my phone and laptop and I never have to worry. The only flaw I've found so far is the very annoying voice that says "connected" 2-4 (maybe 6 if you have 3 devices connected) times (once for each earbud and once for each device) every time you put them in your ear. Some sort of ding would suffice, and I haven't found a way to turn the voice off. The only other improvement I would make to these is to support some of the new 3D sound formats, like Dolby Atmos, but they sound so good as they are it wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me. Highly recommend!

These Technics earbuds are great. The sound quality is amazing - very clear and no distortion or "tinny" sound. The installation and pairing processes were flawless and very quick. The app is great - I use it mostly to see the charged percentage on both the earbuds and the base unit as well as to change from noise cancelling (which works extremely well) to ambient sound. You can also adjust the base, treble and other enhancements quickly using the app, but I found the factory settings work quite well. The base can be charged using a standard USB Type C plug which is very convenient. The noise cancellation works so well it's easy to get engrossed in what I am watching, or listening to, and totally forget about my surroundings. The earbuds are incredibly comfortable, even after 2-3 hours. They also stay in place when bending over or moving my head. The navigation controls are easy to use, particularly pause (one touch). I usually adjust volume on the device, rather than on the buds. The best thing about these Technics is definitely the sound quality.

Exceptional sound quality and comfort of use. Different sizes of buds provide a complete choice of perfect fit. Appealing aesthetics impart additional beauty. One issue i faced is that the left ear bud would start producing annoying sound and could hear wind noise even in noise cancellation mode. Overall, it's a good earbud but with not that grat of noise cancellation

Really good the sound is good, it's comfortable, has a lot of features, no one has ever complained about phone quality. I never had a problem with the touch control. Only reason why I took off a star I think they can improve on vocals in music, if you have LDAC they're much better, but my computer doesn't have it. Sound stage is wide it's pretty clear definitely worth it if you have LDAC, but as I said I feel like the sound good be a drop improved upon to make it sound more natural and clear, so that's why I gave I took off a star, it gets more clear with LDAC and you can enjoy the music better even on lower volumes. Also maybe I should mention this the Bluetooth is good but I have had minor problems like static a few times.

One of the top sounding earbuds with a lot of features. ANC is really decent, not as good as AirPod pro 2. Look good on ear and comfortable.

Got these in to try. I do a lot of yard work around the house and wanted something that would provide some sound cancelation with good audio quality. But also comfortable to wear for hours on end. Build is quite nice. I was a little concerned opening the package but the buds are quite light. I guess the battery in the case that provided multiple recharges was the weight. The case in your pocket isn't an issue at all. Noise cancelation was a big feature for me. They worked quite well. I really enjoyed using the app to maximize this feature and help me select the proper fitting. Really enjoyed this small feature that made a huge difference. Sound quality was really nice. I've had several buds and this didn't drop any quality. I was able to adjust the EQ via the app. And get the type of sound I wanted. No issues here at all! Over the course of utilization. Got a bit of debris flying and sweat. The buds held up quite well. and the IPX4 allowed me to simply rinse them off when done and put in the case. I was not able to test the wireless Qi charging but the included USB-C cable charged them fine and quickly. The App provides charge status and pops up as soon as you open the case on my Android phone. So I was never running out of power during my listening sessions. Highly recommended - work well and really like them!

Technics are back and these earbuds are right up there with the best of them. Technics was always a brand that was known for high quality audio. The Z80M are exactly that. The packaging is similar to the slight cheaper z60m and the unboxing is identical with what you get in the box. You get 7 different types of ear tips which is a great thing as you’re almost guaranteed to find the best fit for you. The earbuds themselves are extremely comfortable and in the black they are quite discreet, they don’t stick out and they don’t give me any ear fatigue at all. They look great and give you that technics look. These are also ipx4 rated so fine for working out but be aware the case has no ratings at all. The case is a nice size and also supports Qi wireless charging Battery life on these is really good too, I’m getting a hair over 7 hours with ANC enabled and 9 without it which is right up there with the top dogs. These are also the first earbud to offer 3 way multipoint connectivity and it works perfectly. Pause your music on one device and carry on listening on any of the the 2 other device you have paired. I’ve never had multipoint work so well, technics nailed it. The ANC is also right up there with the best you can get providing uninterrupted listening while keeping the high quality audio that these produce. They also have transparency mode which still works great but not quite the quality of the ANC. Overall very solid The app is the same as you use with the z60 and as I mentioned in that review it is by far the best app I’ve used on any earbuds. It’s feature filled and easy to use. Now the most important part. The sound on these is in my opinion the best you can get at this price point. Sound separation is the best I’ve heard with instruments and different voices coming through in rich detail, the lows are so nice and smooth. The soundstage on these is above the rest and offer a consistent high quality no matter what music you play. And with the EQ in the app you can dial them in even more to your liking. Technics hit a home run with these and I highly recommend you trying these over the usual suspects at this price. You will not be disappointed

The best earbuds I have ever tested

Let me start out by saying the Technics AZ80 earbuds are fantastic. They are among the best earbuds I have tested. The quality of the buds and case are very impressive. I got the blue version, and they look great. The aluminum case is well constructed as well as the earbuds. They come with a wide selection of ear tips that, unlike a number of other earbuds are actually well packaged and don’t just roll around in the box. They are easy to replace, however I found the ones that came pre-installed fit perfectly. The buds connected very quickly to my Samsung phone as soon as I put them in my ears. You need to download the Technics app which provides some of the most comprehensive set of adjustments I have experienced. Everything from ANC settings to EQ for the earbuds. There are also settings for adjusting the touch controls for the right and left earbuds which is a great feature as I like to be able to adjust volume and other functions from the right earbud and these were set by default on the left. There are several preset EQ settings as well as a custom setting that covers a broad range of frequencies. All of these features typically appear on most high-end earbuds so what makes these AZ80’s special? The sound quality of these earbuds is impressive. The soundstage is wide and open. The bass is tight. The highs are very detailed without being harsh and the midrange blends perfectly. The earbuds are very comfortable and do not feel loose or like they might fall out at any time. The touch sensors are very responsive. Overall, I think these are the best earbuds you can buy for the money. They look great. They work great and they sound fantastic. The AZ80’s out perform much more expensive earbuds that I have tested and will be my go to earbuds from now on.

    Comfortable, great-sounding earbuds

These Technics wireless earbuds live up to the "premium" in their name. For me, the most important factor for earbuds is if they are comfortable when placed in your ear. I have probably a dozen pairs of earbuds, and these Technics are the most comfortable. They come with 8 sets of rubber earpieces, which are organized in a little holder so that you know which size is which. Most other earbuds give you a bag full to randomly fish out and try. One thing these Technics have that I haven't seen before is a routine in the app - yes, you have to download and install yet another app to get full functionality - that plays some test tones and somehow detects how much sound is leaking out of your ear and uses that information to suggest a different earpiece size, which is then tested again, and so on, leading to a recommended size. This worked great for me. With the proper earpiece size installed, the earbuds were very comfortable. Sound quality is excellent. Well-balanced and clear. Deep bass, smooth treble. The app has some pre-defined EQ curves, or you can make your own. I used the bass-boost curve which I think sounded the best. There are also settings for noise reduction calibration and performance levels. I found the default settings to be just right. Battery life is plenty long, I never actually ran the battery down since I put the earbuds in the charger whenever I'm not using them. If I had to complain about one thing, it was slightly difficult to use the multiple taps on each earpiece to control volume, etc. I found it more reliable to use my phone's buttons. Maybe with a bit more practice it will be better. The earpieces and charger/case are metal and well made. A please to own.

Panasonic has finally brought back the true Technics experience. I have owned many audio components and headphones from Technics and they have all delivered a great experience. To have that experience with modern features is absolutely amazing. These earbuds are excellent. The design is simple and sleek. They fit very well inside my ear and are very comfortable when wearing for hours at a time. They are perform great while getting wet while working out or running around. The clarity of the microphone is very very good and comes in clear, drowns out background noise and the person on the other end hears me well. It's cool to be able to use only one ear piece for this purpose. The sound clarity is phenomenal. I can hear every little detail in any kind of music I listen too. The bass is surprisingly deep and clear. I haven't heard any kind of distortion, even at maximum volume. The treble and midrange is also very good and really makes listening to music a great experience. The charging case and battery life are excellent and pretty straightforward. Noise cancelling is excellent and definitely drowns out sound in a noisy environment well. Overall, I'm very happy with these ear buds. Definitely a must have.
