Pretty good sound quality and the headset is well built. It is also not heavy. Memory foam ear cup and head band makes this pretty comfortable to wear. This headset is glasses friendly too so I have no complain when wearing glasses with this. However, some user might not like the shape of the head band, it is flat at the top and you will feel the band is pressing down on one spot on your head. See picture. Other than that, this headset has all the controls you will need on the headset itself and they are well spaced. My friends said my voice is loud and clear so the mic is doing a good job. It is mono channel though with A.I. noise reduction. However, the mic monitoring is amplifying the wind noise from the fan in the room. I can also hear some clipping on all the sound in mic monitoring. The instruction in the quick start guide said to go to https://turtlebeach.com/swarm2 but it open https://support.turtlebeach.com/s/downloads?language=en_US and you have to choose Stealth 600 Gen 3. If you type in the search box, it will show Audio Hub instead of Swarm 2. Installation is straight forward once you got the correct software. Upon installation, it will start to update the firmware. This headset support wireless using the usb dongle and support Bluetooth. The usb dongle also differ from the quick start guide, the guide said there are 2 dongles, one for xbox and one for PC and PlayStation but I only got one dongle and it has a switch where you can select between xbox or usb so I guess if you select usb, it means PC and PlayStation. Using USB will provide low latency wireless connection. The box said it is designed for xbox and a smaller print says also works with PC, Playstation, Nintendo Switch and mobile phone. For xbox, it supports series x/s and xbox one; for PC, it supports windows 10 and 11. I tested with PC using the usb dongle and Bluetooth, I also tested with my mobile phone via Bluetooth. No problem when connected using Bluetooth but when using the usb dongle with my PC, I notice volume is soft at level 50 and you cannot hear anything at all when the volume level is below 20. The volume adjustment is nonlinear too. This is strange and is most likely software issue because I don't experience this issue when using Bluetooth. This happen to two different PC I tested. Battery life is excellent, I believe the 80 hours battery life number stated on the box. This head set has superhuman hearing feature, I feel like it is just suppressing other sound and amplified the sound of interest like footsteps.

The sound quality is excellent for gaming consoles and PC and the battery life lets me go for several days before having to charge the headset. The fit can be a bit snug at first, but after a couple days will loosen up to be more comfortable; I've been able to wear it for several hours at a time without issue. I would recommend using the Bluetooth mode for Switch because when I tried connecting the dongle to the switch dock for wireless mode the sound would keep cutting out. One thing I would especially recommend is to always turn on the headset before putting it on because the activation beep and notice will always default to max volume for some reason. The headset will also default to max volume when using with Playstation 4 or 5 but will remember volume level when using with PC in wireless mode or Switch in Bluetooth. Only other downside to the headset is the need for an app to update the firmware, but it does help monitor the charge level and adjust certain features.

I used these for the Xbox Series X and played call of duty black ops 6. The max volume is very low. The bass is not that great. I could not hear the footsteps at all or the direction of the gun shots. Even after tweaking audio settings, it just wasn’t that great.

The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 v3 wireless gaming headset is a contender at this price point. Connecting them to the PC is straight forward. You can also simultaneously connect to your phone via Bluetooth. You can also easily switch between the two with a press of a button. This makes gaming and being able to take a call very easy without even having to remove the headset. You can easily mute the mic by just putting it upright. All the controls are on the left side and easy to access. It does take a minute to remember what button does what though. The sound is... Okay. I know sound is subjective, but I found the Stealth 600 v3'S to sound average, even after trying to adjust the EQ. You have the ability to adjust the EQ on the PC version of the app, but oddly not the Android phone version. You can also quick select 4 preset EQ's right out of the box on the headset itself. The volume is where I take issue with this headset. The volume is very low until you get to around 80, then goes up quickly every advance after that. On top of that, the volume control on the headset moves the volume generally by 6's, but sometimes it will max the volume by clicking one notch. Can be annoying and frustrating at the same time. I found using the volume of my keyboard only goes up by 2's and is much more manageable for controlling the volume. I found the Stealth 600 v3's to be fairly comfortable. I wear glasses while gaming and did not have any issues with the ear pads pressing the frames causing any pain or fatigue, but I do have an issue with the speaker part touching the tops of my ears causing pressure, and sometimes discomfort. If the ear pads were a little thicker or deeper, this wouldn't be a problem. The supporting app gives you access to many other features like the EQ(PC only) and the ability to customize some of the buttons on the headset. Another nice feature the app has is that it also gives you the ability to setup Macros on you keyboard that are game specific while the app is running. One thing I found rather odd was that I had to update the firmware via the phone app. The battery life is very good. I've been using them all week, playing a few hours a day, and the battery level is showing 90% in the app. I do wish that there was an option to put the battery life meter/percentage in the icon tray. Likes: 1.) Battery Life 2.) Supporting app 3.) Easy mic mute Dislikes: 1.) Volume and volume control 2.) Not the most comfortable for me. 3.) Have to update firmware via the phone app, at least initially

    Turtle Beach Does It Again

Turtle Beach released their newest headset. Over the years, I have used headsets from different brands and Turtle Beach tends to be the brand that I feel most comfortable with and that I tend to go back to when it's time for a new headset. This set has the flip up/down mic which is it's toggle between being active and muted. I find this feature easier to use than having a mute button to find and push. The layout of the buttons on this set are simple and easy to find. When you turn the head set on it notifies you when it has connected and ready for use. One feature I wish this headset had but doesn't is telling you what level of charge the battery has when you first turn it on. My previous Turtle Beach headset did that and I really appreciate that feature. This headset does not have separate controls for chat versus sound volumes, also as my previous headset had. This certainly is not a deal-breaker for me because what this headset has that my previous one did not is an app that that the headset connects to and that you can use to adjust settings on the fly. The sound versus game chat volume control lies within the application. I actually really like the fact that an app is associated with this headset and the settings I can adjust in the app. This headset is very comfortable to wear and I could imagine having it on quite some time before I would experience ear fatigue. The construction on this headset is good however, compared to my previous one, I don't feel it is as solid and I wish it Incorporated metal components. Overall, I am happy with this headset and would recommend it in today's current lineup of what's available on the market.
