Quick Overview ================================= If you're looking for a gaming headset, it can be tough to decide for multiple reasons: Too many options and platform-specific needs. Well, Turtle Beach's new Stealth 700 Gen 3 wireless gaming headphones can help you with some of your decision-making because they come with two transmitters for lag-free gaming on PC and PlayStation, in this case. Turtle Beach has a long history in gaming, and I'm expecting great things - let's see how it goes! Overall build ================================= I'm lucky enough to also have their Stealth 600 Gen 3 headphones which I enjoy, so I have some direct comparisons I can make. Right off the bat, the Stealth 700 Gen 3s are heavier and feel more sturdy. The earcups are thicker and wider and have a fabric/faux leather lining vs. the cloth-only on the 600s. The silver arms that connect the earcups to the headband seem to be a mix of plastic and metal which Turtle Beach calls "steel-reinforced" and they do seem very sturdy and strong. It seems like there were some breakage issues on the Stealth 700 Gen 2s, and Turtle Beach stepped up to address them. Being sturdier and including more metal means they are heavier than the 600s, but not overly so. The thickly padded headband supports the weight on the top of your head. You'll notice another difference right away: The 600 only has controls on the left earcup while the 700 has controls on both. On the left side there's a flip up mic on the front. On the rear top, there's a customizable mode button, a volume dial, a customizable volume dial (for mic monitoring, bass boost, etc.), the charging port, and power button. On the right earcup, there's a CrossPlay button to swap between the wireless dongles (for ex. one plugged into your PC, one into the PS5), a BT volume knob, a BT pairing/function button, and a BT status LED. Adjusting the headset takes a firm grip, which I prefer, since it's usually a one-time adjustment. The deep earcups are comfortable for med/large ears and they didn't apply undue pressure even with some glasses on during some sessions. The first thing I had to do was upgrade the firmware by doing the following: Using BT, pair the Stealth 700 Gen 3 with my phone. Plug each dongle into a USB device - I did this on the same PC to make it easy. Install or use the Swarm II app and it should prompt you to update the firmware. Wait a few minutes Unplug each dongle and plug them back in. Power off the headset and power it on again. With that out of the way, let's test! Performance ================================= Since these are gaming headphones, we'll definitely spend time doing exactly that, but first, let's check out some music. I test with some songs I know very well and that I've listed to on multiple devices through speakers, IEMs, or over the ear headphones. With a mix of EDM, Jpop, Kpop, and some "haunting vocals" from different movie soundtracks, the sound on these 60mm Ecplise dual drivers was impressive! Normally, I have a small amp and dedicated headphones connected to my PC for music listening, but these were good enough to serve as gaming or music headphones! Highs were clear and not muddled at all by the thick, layered bass and mid-bass. Using their Swarm II app on the phone or PC, you can choose from different presets or set up custom EQ profiles. On the phone, it recommends using a landscape view so you can see the sliders for all the bands easily. There are tons of other options in the app for customizing the controls, sound, and even the mic's sound profile. Not to mention things like a noise gate to eliminate unwanted sounds from being recorded. Functionally, you can be in-game but take a call via your phone/BT seamlessly, then get right back into the game. Speaking of gaming, this is what it's all about! I was really pleased - as most people would be - with the Stealth 600 Gen 3s so I wasn't expecting to like these Stealth 700 Gen 3s even more! Everything sounds great as I mentioned during the music listening portion, but this improved audio via the dual drivers and larger 60mm drivers made game audio even more impactful. Whether it was going solo in a hearing-intensive game like Sniper Elite 5 or having a fun, wild time in Fortnite, these really helped make the world come alive and make it seem like I had a better edge than playing with PC speakers, for example. Turtle Beach is known for it's "Superhuman hearing" feature and I gotta say, it helped me surprise some folks that were probably looking to get the jump on me in Fortnite! I'm never going to claim that features like these will make you a pro-level gamer, but I feel that they enhanced my experience and improved some of my performance so that's a plus. The mic was great for simple things like in-game or Discord, but they also worked well for Zoom calls and work meetings. I don't think I'd go as far as recording my YouTube videos on them since I have a dedicated mic for that, but I think they're actually nearly good enough. The AI noise-canceling does a great job of eliminating background noise that I could hear but listeners couldn't! I don't know how often you'll need to quickly switch from PC to PS5, but CrossPlay works as advertised! Press a button on the right earcup and you immediately switch over for low-latency gaming on your PlayStation! I could see this complimenting a compact setup if I had my PS4 or PS5 on my PC desk (hmmmm...). Battery life is phenomenal at a rated 80 hours. In 1 week of testing, I didn't even run the battery down completely. I guess I should game more! Lastly, I really like the control scheme much better than the 600. I like how the right earcup is focused on BT (and 1 CrossPlay button) and the left side is for the PC or PS5 controls. Conclusion ================================= Turtle Beach is no stranger to high-performance gaming products and it looks like we have another winner here with the Stealth 700 Gen 3s! Not only do they have slick, seamless connectivity between consoles, they can do that with your phone via BT as well. On top of all that they come with great controls, deep customization via the app, and a comfortable fit for me (headsize is less than a US 8). I think the best praise I can give it is it has helped declutter my set up by being good enough for music that I can remove my amp and headphones that I was using at my PC for music listening. Now I can do it all with just one great wireless headset!

The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3 Wireless Gaming Headset for PS5 is a premium gaming headset that show just how far Turtle Beach has come with gaming headphones over the years. I’ve had a few TB headsets throughout the years and this one is the most impressive yet. With its sleek design, comfortable fit, and immersive audio, it promises to deliver top-notch performance specifically tailored for the PS5. Let's see if it lives up to the hype. Design and Build Quality The Stealth 700 Gen 3 has a modern look that looks good next to the PS5. The ear cups are large and plush, along with the headband, providing plenty of padding for extended gaming sessions. The adjustable headband ensures a customizable fit, accommodating different head sizes and shapes. I will say that they probably fit best on small and medium size heads. The lightweight construction makes it comfortable to wear for hours on end, even during intense gaming sessions. The build quality of the Stealth 700 Gen 3 is good. The materials used feel sturdy and durable, and the headset has a solid overall construction even if most of the materials are hard plastics. Buttons/Dials * Game/Chat Mix Button: This button allows you to adjust the balance between game audio and chat audio. Press and hold to increase the game audio volume, and press and hold again to increase the chat audio volume. * Volume Up/Down Buttons: These buttons control the overall headset volume. Press the volume up button to increase the volume, and press the volume down button to decrease the volume. * Flip-to-Mute Microphone: You can flip the microphone up to mute and down to unmute it. This is a convenient way to mute your voice during gameplay. The button layout will take a little bit to get used to but I picked it up fairly quickly. Setup and Connectivity Setting up the Stealth 700 Gen 3 on the PS5 is straightforward. You connect the USB dongle to the console, pair the headset, and you're ready to game. The wireless connection is stable and reliable, with minimal latency. The headset also features a 3.5mm jack, you can use with other devices if needed. There’s a wireless and bluetooth 5.2 connection which is great for PC or if you wanna jump on chat while you’re gaming. Audio Performance The headset features 60 mm drivers which deliver rich, detailed audio that sounds great on the PS5 titles I played. The soundstage is impressive, allowing you to realize the location of sounds in the game environment. This gives you a nice edge in first-person shooters and other games that rely on spatial awareness. The bass is deep and hits nicely, enhancing the overall gaming experience, especially when playing action-packed games or streaming music. The Stealth 700 Gen 3's audio quality, has a nice delivery with crisp highs, and deep, satisfying bass. This headset's ability to handle a wide range of audio from highs to lows makes it a great choice for FPS, RPGs, open world adventure games, and sports. I love the Spatial Audio this headset delivers. The Swarm II software also allows you to dial in the equalizer to customize sound and add your own sound profiles. More Features The Stealth 700 Gen 3 is designed to work flawlessly with the PS5. It supports the console's 3D Audio technology which really make you feel like you’re in the game. Picture 3D sound all around you where you can hear directional footsteps and environmental location of noise. This pays off huge in FPS games because it gives you that slight edge over opponents you’re looking for. There’s also a flip-to-mute microphone, making it easy to quickly mute your voice during gameplay or online chats. We’ve got a house of 5 so that mute comes in handy. The microphone's quality is pretty good; voices are clear and crisp. It features AI to help drown out noise. In some cases the mic did pick up some background noise but it does an admirable job. Battery Life One of the standout features of the Stealth 700 Gen 3 is its impressive battery life. It’s spec’d to get about 80 hours on a single charge. For me, this allowed me to play multiple gaming sessions without charging. In the past, battery life has been a drawback, but Turtle Beach comes through with the Stealth 700 Gen 3, an impressive leap even over the previous generation. Overall Impressions The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3 Wireless Gaming Headset for PS5 is a solid choice for gamers seeking a premium audio experience for the PS5. Its comfortable design, unique features, and impressive audio quality make it a great choice for PS5 gamers. The headphones provide a good seal around each ear and temperatures didn’t get too hot either. I would recommend tilting the headband forward a bit to make it more comfortable as wireless headphones are heavier than their wired counterparts. Pros * Comfortable fit and design * Impressive audio quality * Supports PS5 3D Audio * Long-lasting battery life * Easy setup and connectivity Needs Improvement * Might feel a little tight for larger ears * Microphone can pick up background noise occasionally * Wireless headphones are a little heavy on the ears and get a little warm after a couple hours If you're looking for a headset that delivers both sound and comfort on the PS5, the Stealth 700 Gen 3 is definitely worth considering. I give it 4 stars. It’s a solid choice with a little bit of room for improvement in a few areas, but they’re without a doubt premium gaming headphones.

--- SETUP --- Setup of this headset requires you to connect the included USB receivers to your PS5 (both need to be connected at the same time for update), a download of an app to your phone, and charging of the headset. After that, you are ready to game! --- FEATURES --- Crossplay use with PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5 and mobile gaming. Pairs with bluetooth to your phone, Mic monitoring, AI noise cancelation, remappable features including wheel, advanced superhuman hearing for footsteps/gunshots, audio presets or custom EQ with free app download. --- EXPECTATIONS and PERFORMANCE --- Turtlebeach has become a staple in this gaming household. This headset piqued my interest because it includes audio receivers that can be used between two gaming platforms. In my case, one goes connected to my gaming PC while the other goes connected to my PS5. On both platforms, the audio for the headset was superb. For my multiplayer sessions, I enjoyed using the superhuman hearing to focus on footsteps. Call of Duty Games seem much more intense yet satisfying knowing that I can hear enemy footsteps with more clarity. For single player sessions, a nice boost to bass sets the mood just right for story-heavy moments. The app is a big plus for this headset. There are so many customization options, yet they do not feel overwhelming or difficult to understand nor adjust. I always like using presets, but for those who want to get into the nitty gritty, you can create multiple custom EQ settings to suit your needs. You can also adjust the mic monitoring volume and customize what the wheels do when you spin them. Comfort level wise, this headset is right up there among the best. It is always a big concern for me that the headset I buy is comfortable to wear with glasses on. I am happy to report that, after 6-8 hour gaming sessions, the headset remained comfortable for me to use. The only concern I had was that, when the app tried to update the headset, it asked for both USB receivers to be connected at the same time. I was able to connect both to my PS5 at the same time for the update to go through, but I’m concerned that I might not be able to receive future updates if I lose one of the receivers. If that happens, though, that would be user error and not the headset’s fault. --- APPROVAL --- This is a true gamer’s headset. It gives you the competitive edge with superhuman hearing, or an immersive experience when playing story-heavy games. For the gamer who owns multiple platforms, this is the headset you’re seeking to invest in.

This new Gen 3 Stealth 700 is the 7th Turtle Beach headset I’ve auditioned over the past several years—including 3 previous generations of the Stealth 700 (OG, GEN 2, GEN 2 MAX). They were all fine products, & true to Turtle Beach’s sonic pedigree, they all SOUNDED great, but for me, the execution just felt a little underwhelming in terms of build quality, comfort, & usability/ergonomics. Enter the new Gen 3 Stealth 700 & it’s clear Turtle Beach is upping its game & the results are--for the most part--a massive step forward. The Gen 3 is DEFINITELY worth an upgrade over the OG or Gen 2/Gen 2 MAX in terms of build, performance, & capability. And if you’re just in the market for a new gaming headset in the crowded sub-$200 category, there’s enough here to warrant putting the Stealth 700 Gen 3s near the top of your list. Everything about the Gen 3 simply *feels* better than its predecessors. There is still a fair deal of plastic (with some steel reinforcements for longevity/durability) to help keep the weight down, but it doesn’t come across as cheaply made—the whole assembly & various points of swivel, pivot, & adjustment feel reassuringly solid & smooth. Comfort is enhanced over previous Stealth iterations thanks to what seems like a good 10-15 degrees of extra vertical pivot in the earcups--they fold flat against the slight backwards-leaning tilt of the headband to better match your anatomy when you drop the headset down around your neck & shoulders. Like previous Stealth headsets, the microphone folds up discreetly into the earcup when muted while a pair of rising/falling tones indicate mic mute status (if you are using a wireless transmitter, the LED will also change from green to red to indicate mic status). The boom is also articulated with a pivot joint to help position the mic closer to your mouth. The earpads are removable w/a leatherette covering around the outsides & smooth fabric against the skin. The pad’s ear-shaped openings are quite large & the soft memory foam pads are very comfortable in use. The headband is also covered with the same pillowy-soft leatherette, though sadly the padding underneath it feels a little less substantial than the earpad’s memory foam. The Gen 3s feature new 60mm drivers producing enough nuance, detail, clarity, & slam to suit movies, music, & gaming of all flavors. Performance is rich, clear, & full-bodied—everything you could ask for from a set of all-arounders. Functionality gets a bump w/two wireless transmitters as well as BT connectivity. I used one transmitter in my PS5, the other in my PC; a quick press of the Mode button swapped instantly between active transmitters. Cross-play alone may be a game-changer for multi-platform gamers who might resent buying another headset for another console/platform, or at least having to remember to move a wireless transmitter from one device to another. Helpfully, the “losing” transmitter displays an orange LED while the other transmitter turns green/red (depending on mic status) to distinguish which device/connection is active. BT connectivity was rock-solid w/music streaming unimpeded across two rooms more than 30 ft apart. Call clarity was outstanding both in mic performance for the caller & voice reproduction for me. The Gen 3s also allow you to stream wireless & BT audio simultaneously so you can take a call/spin up a playlist while still hearing game audio. The BT button on the bottom of the right earcup serves quadruple duty for pairing (long-press), play/pause or answer/hang up (1 press), next track (2 presses), & previous track (3 presses). The Mode button on the left earcup can be programmed via the Swarm II app to switch between EQ presets or toggle the mic’s noise gate function on/off. There are four presets (signature sound, bass boost, v-shape, & vocal boost) plus space for 5 custom settings using a 10-band EQ with +/- 9dB adjustments. Helpfully, these presets can be stored on the headset as well as the app so you can preprogram several EQs to meet your needs as you jump between games/platforms. A quick press of the power button toggles Superhuman hearing on/off with in-app selections for “legacy” (general detail boost) sensitivity as well as selective enhancements for footsteps or gunshots. Mic customization is equally extensive. In addition to AI-based noise reduction, Stealth II has additional settings for mic sensitivity, sidetone/voice monitoring, & noise gate (how much background noise is allowed through the mic). And, just like audio EQ, you get 4 mic EQ presets w/space for another 5 custom presets. I’m not a broadcaster or streamer, but I was told I came through very clear & natural-sounding on both game chat & phone calls. Turtle Beach provides 3 physically separate volume dials. Two are for wireless audio & Bluetooth volume, something I think more manufacturers should take note of as it was VERY convenient to adjust BT volume without my phone in hand. This also kept me from inadvertently adjusting master (in-game) volume during, or especially after, I was done using the phone. The third dial adjusts mic monitoring/sidetone; Swarm II lets you reassign the dial for Noise Gate volume, bass boost, or treble boost instead. In all, I found the Stealth 700 Gen 3 to be a very capable multi-role headset that turned in outstanding audio performance w/enough customization & additional capability on board to make a strong case for using them as a one-size-fits-all solution for multi-platform/scenario use. The fact that the battery is rated for a staggering 80 hours is also a pretty compelling bonus (in 2 weeks I’ve yet to recharge it once!). However, there are a few blemishes on the Gen 3’s otherwise fine finish. First, although comfort is, at least for me, MILES ahead of prior Stealth iterations, it will likely still feel a bit clampy if you have a larger head. I wear an XL/XXL in hats & helmets & while the earpads were soft & comfortable enough that I didn’t get any clamping fatigue or soreness, I was aware of a growing hot spot on the top of my head. It wasn’t painful, just intrusive enough that I had to adjust their position many times over extended gaming sessions. Even at full extension, the headband was nearly flat across the top of my head & simply didn’t distribute enough weight around the curvature of my skull. On my daughter’s head, however, the headband curve matched the shape/size of her smaller head much better—she confiscated them for her own use almost immediately. Second, tidying up usability & ergonomics would really knock things out of the park. For example, while many controls are distributed between earcups (rather than crammed together on a single side), nearly all the buttons are about identical in size, shape, & feel. The two dials on the left earcup are also close enough together (w/virtually the same texture) that blindly telling all the controls apart was challenging at times. Strangely, the BT volume dial & the wireless volume dial are not in the same relative locations on opposite earcups. Instead, the mic-monitoring dial is level with the BT volume dial while the wireless volume dial is higher up on the left cup—slightly counter-intuitive given that both are ”source volume” controls. The audio interface also feels a little scattershot. For example, status updates vary between a few clearly spoken prompts for BT pairing/connect/disconnect, while a series of rising, falling or repeating tones are used for everything else. The spoken prompts are nice, but it certainly would be helpful to get voice confirmations for other settings such as sound/mic EQ selection, Superhuman Hearing preset, mixer dial settings, etc. without having to remember which tone pattern corresponds to which setting. Irritatingly, you only get a set of 1-4 tones for audio EQ preset, but if through them. Finally, I experienced some kinks w/the transmitters & companion app. My Gen 3s came with a note indicating a required firmware update that supposedly could only be completed w/the Swarm II phone app (not the PC client). My phone recognized the headset BT signal, but the wireless transmitters refused to sync per the instructions, nor would the app register that they were plugged in & powered on (which they were). Eventually, I had to completely reset the transmitters using support procedures reserved for those who replace a lost/older transmitter. Once paired w/the headset, the wireless dongles were still not recognized in the phone app. However, I was able to update the dongle & headset firmware using the PC client which the instructions indicated shouldn’t be possible. Strangely, my Gen 3s now show up in the Swarm II phone app as an Xbox edition while the customizations in the PC client (not to mention the product packaging) clearly indicate the headset is the PlayStation version. The phone app also indicates that the mic-monitoring dial can be customized for other functions (as indicated above), but doing so was only accessible in the PC client; the phone client also did not indicate which function had been assigned there once I did change it. Bottom line, a bit more refinement of the physical design, control layout, audio display, & app compatibility issues would complement all the other refinements & improvements made to this latest revision of the Stealth 700’s overall performance, capabilities, & build quality, otherwise making them THE multi-platform headset to beat.

Turtle Beach’s latest gaming headset offering, the new Stealth 700 Gen 3, sits atop a well-rounded addition to their Stealth line up. They have continually set the bar for other well-made and affordable gaming headsets and continue to push the limits by piling more and more tech and sound into their products everyone can enjoy. With the Gen 3 Stealth 700, they clearly listened to their core audience and incorporated simultaneous connections using both a 2.4GHz wireless connection and Bluetooth 5.2 along with dual wireless transmitters making it easy to switch between your console(s), PC and phone with just the push of a button instead of having to move USB dongles. This allows you to listen to your favorite music, podcasts or chat while also hearing your game. More than likely you’ll need to download the Turtle Beach Swarm II smartphone companion app and perform an update for the headphones and both USB dongles which all need to be within range of your phone. Once that is complete, which took me a few tries, you’ll be able to access all of the customization features including the 10-band audio EQ, microphone EQ, sensitivity & noise gate adjustments. You will also be able to remap the wheel & mode button to customize them to your specific preferences including using them as equalizer presets, game chat mix, variable microphone monitoring, and bass and treble boost. After first use, I could really feel the quality of the Stealth 700s with the durable steel build along with the other material they used in their attention to detail. After using the headphones for several hours, I eventually noticed I didn’t have any pressure headache from them pressing on my glasses while gaming and I also wasn’t sweating due to their breathability using hybrid leatherette and athletic-weave fabric wrapped around memory foam cushions. The buttons on the headphones were all conveniently placed and did not take long for me to learn which ones did what without having to take them off to look. Within the time that I used them and did this review, I never had to worry about charging them after the initial charge thanks to the 80-hour battery that can also fast charge giving you hours of use on just a 15-minute charge. Regarding the sound, which to me is the most important feature of headphones, they used their patented 60mm (HUGE, largest in class) Eclipse dual drivers providing the user incredibly clear and loud sound with deep bass. This is thanks to the dual drivers which provide a separate woofer and tweeter combination so the highs and lows don’t distort each other. Like the previous model, conveniently the microphone is built into the headset so there is no need to go looking around for those clumsy, removable microphones that I always seem to misplace and the most inopportune times. The new uni-directional microphone was completely redesigned offering AI noise reduction while offering the user the ability to flip it up to mute it and more features built into the desktop and mobile app you can use to customize your preferences. The latest Advanced Superhuman Hearing® technology is also pretty sweet and helps boost those hard to hear noises in games. Overall, the Gen 3 Turtle Beach Stealth 700 gaming headphones are a great option if you’re in the market for a headphone upgrade and at a reasonable price.

We are not new to Turtle Beach wireless headphones. We have a pair for our Xbox. Our household just got a PS5 and we absolutely needed to get a pair for the Play Station! (side note- I wish they were interchangeable but the technology may be different). These are incredibly comfortable for long hours of gaming. The charge holds great. As long as we charge overnight periodically, we are good! Two different players use these- Me- an older female, and a tween male. We can change the sizing quickly between uses for a comfortable fit. When you ask the tween, his review is that the volume is slow to change when he adjusts it (a delay in turning the volume dial and when it changes). He also is not impressed with the highest volume. For me, I don't notice these issues for the games I play. I love the comfort and sound quality. The tween uses the mic to play with others and says that the sound quality seems great. They can hear him fine. When I use them, I can flip the microphone up and out of the way (for my single player games). Either way, we are definitely Turtle Beach fans in this house!

Turtle beach headsets are the best gaming headphones on the market and that tradition continues with the Stealth 700 Gen 3. The excellent: The battery life on this headset is EXCELLENT as they just keep going and going. When using the headset I was never worried about it running out of battery. I have said it before and I will say it again these are the best headphones for people that wear glasses, the design is such that the ear cups sit below the glasses so there is no discomfort or loss of any audio. The configuration allowed through the app (phones and computer) is also excellent as you can adjust EQ and even remap wheel and mode button. The Stealth 700 Gen 3 comes with a new feature that allows you to switch between different sources (PS5/computer/Bluetooth). The audio from the Stealth 700 is great for lows/mids and highs, the spatial audio works great to and makes super hearing that much better to give you the edge you need. This is great as I don’t need to switch the usb dongle from my PS5 to computer/ connect or disconnect Bluetooth. The Good: The stealth 700 are big headphones with a steel reinforced frame and extra padded ear cups with multiple physical controls. The ear cups are super comfortable for hours of gaming without leaving you with ear fatigue/sweaty ears. The head band is tightened perfectly so there is no excessive pressure on your ears. The physical rollers and buttons have a great tactile feel along with the rolling wheels having different patterns to distinguish them. The bad: The Mic doesn’t work as well as the last gen, which was a bit weird and im hoping can be fixed with a update. When using the mic while gaming and during voice calls (teams/phone) everyone said I sounded just a tad bit low, I tried tweaking the settings but couldn’t really fix the issue. Another thing that wasn’t the best was the updating of the headset, the requirement of needing to have both USB’s plugged in was an issue as my computer kept going to sleep during the long update process. I know you can easily change the sleep time however it would be easier to update the USB receivers individually when they are being used. Overall these are great headphones and the upgrades to the spatial audio (for gaming and movies/music) along with the multi connecting/easy switching makes them a worthwhile upgrade to the Gen 2.

Spoiler alert: I am quite impressed with the Stealth 700 headset. There’s so much to talk about this headset, so I’ll try to be as brief as possible. Visually, the headset is beefy and somewhat heavy. This particular version looks sleek enough for taking a video meeting online. The earcups are large and deep. While you can see the drivers, the ears do not rest on them. The band is flexible enough but also sturdy. The headset feels heavy, as the yolk is metal, and I found myself getting used to it within minutes. It helps that the headband is plush, and while the clamp force is lighter than other Turtle Beach headsets, it is strong enough to stay on my head. The ear pads are super soft and glasses-friendly (thank you!). There are several buttons and wheels on the cups, and once you get used to their place, they become second nature to find and use. It’s also worth noting that the headset can rest comfortably on the neck when not in use. Setting up and updating the headset is more complicated than I anticipated. I had to pair Bluetooth on my phone, download the app, connect the transmitters to two sources, and go through a lengthy process that failed a couple of times. It took me over a half hour to finish. After this, I was truly impressed by the almost-instant switching between a PC and the PS5 by pressing a button. On top of that, the simultaneous audio coming from Bluetooth is a welcome feature to me, since I tend to listen to podcasts and other channels while gaming. The audio levels can be adjusted on the fly, such as voice chat volume, audio source, and actual volume with the rockers, which I wish had a low/high stop (they continuously scroll). The microphone sounds great out of the box. My voice sounded clear albeit a bit sharp. I appreciate the flip-to-chat of the mic and its subtle positioning. The audio quality is also above average on the default setting. The bass thumps and has that subwoofer feel when the audio calls for it. The midrange is clear and precise, and the treble, while being a bit sparkly, does not fatigue. Obviously, it is great for gaming, but I enjoyed the music as well. The soundstage is quite expansive even if the headset has a closed-back design, but the imaging is its strongest suit. While the mobile app offers several options and customization, I highly recommend downloading the PC Swarm 2 software, which allows for an even more robust experience. There, you can adjust EQ levels to the frequency, change microphone levels. Quality, and tone, turn on super-human hearing (which is sometimes great sometimes not so much), assign functions to buttons, adjust mic monitoring, assign key macros, change LED brightness on the transmitters, and more. Another great feature is that all settings can be saved in profiles on the headset itself. I’ve been using this headset for a few days and the battery is still going strong. TB claims 80 hours plus, and I tend to believe them at this point. Based on all the features and performance, and the fact that this is multi-device compatible on the fly, eliminating the need for having several headsets on hand, I strongly believe that the Stealth 700 G3 is a great value and easy to recommend.

I've owned several different models of the Turtle Beach Stealth Headset, most recently was the Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX prior to this model, this model soo far is significantly better. The overall quality is really good, much better than some of the brand names that are similar in price. The set covers both ears fully and comfortably, they also block a large amount of environmental noise even before noise canceling is activated. Lets start with the positives: The audio is good, on par for a wireless gaming headset in this price range. Customizable EQ for your chosen frequency response tastes. Build quality seems good enough for the price (though I am curious about the reliability since these are known to have issues, even with minimal use). It has two dongles you can switch between on the fly (one for Xbox only and the other for PC/PS5). The control wheels/buttons are nice (separate dongle and Bluetooth controls) once you get everything setup. With the dongle you can use Bluetooth and listen to game audio at the same time. Soo far really good battery life. I like the cobalt blue color however my set is the all black. Now for the negatives: The microphone quality could be improved. Microphone sound quality is usually sketchy on wireless headsets, and this mic is worse than some others I've heard. Still useable but far from crystal clear (also customizable with the app, which will help). Not removable and has flip to mute function. The software isn't the greatest either, and upgrading the firmware is a pain. There are still obvious bugs that need to be worked out. I don't think you can do much better at this price level ($200 and under) if you want wireless.

I had the Older 1st Generation Turtle Beach Headphones. They were nice good sounding & pretty comfortable. The problem was they wouldn’t stay synced with the PS5. Every time I needed to use them I had to resynced the Headphones it was a huge pain to do it every time. The Gen 3 not only stay Synced they are Synced to 2 PS5’s and Synced by Bluetooth to my Nintendo Switch! With the new redesigned phone app and the new redesigned headset with the larger speakers the sound is immaculate couldn’t ask for a better set up and excellent quality made headphones. I will always be a fan of turtle beach and a lifelong investor and their products.

I have owned a multitude of headsets, from TB, to Astro to SteelSeries. I was reluctant to make this purchase based on previous experiences with poor build quality, however these seem very solid so far. Part of what led me to this set is the dual console set up, so I have these on my PS5 and my Switch. The Bluetooth capability working simultaneously with game audio is nice and adjusting between the 2is easy. They do sit a bit wide at the top of the set, but it doesn't effect the overall comfort. Battery life is great and there is hardly any fatigue during longer sessions.

I love these headsets. The drivers size are perfect, specially if you like to play FPS games. The quality of the headset feel really good. I like how this time they have two usb transmitters that you could connect on two different devices. Which is nice and convenient if you have a pc or two different consoles. Is the best upgrade i made from the headset is had, the stealth 600. If u desire better sound quality, try these!

I’m thoroughly impressed by this headset. The dual Bluetooth capability is a solid feature for quick transition to PS5 and PC without complication. The app is simple to maneuver. You can connect the headset to your phone as headphones. The sound quality is 10/10. The ear muffs are a little chunky but overall solid and comfortable . Mic quality is very clear compared to most headset mics.
