A high quality ANC headset from Turtle Beach that’s built for more than gaming. It seems like this is where the market is going with high end gaming headsets, which is a welcome trend considering the high price point. Not only do you get an outstanding set of Active Noise Reduction gaming headphones, but also a solid headset for live streaming, music, and movies. Setup on the PS5 was as easy as plugging the USB transmitter into the front of the PS5, making sure it was set “PS”, setting the app to “Game” and then connecting the Bluetooth. No firmware update was required out-the-box, but it’s always good to check when starting out. Out of the box it already sounds great, but you can easily tailor the sound to your liking with the EQ and advanced sound settings that are built into the app. Switching the headset to other devices was very easy as well. SOUND / MIC Game sound is amazing. Nice frequency range and soundstage. For first-person shooters, I felt I could better determine where other players were on the map by hearing their footsteps. Imaging felt accurate and I had no trouble figuring out if I had someone coming from the left, right, or behind me. The “Superhuman Hearing” mode actually helps. Other players' voices sound okay. The volume wheel on the R headphone does a good job of adjusting volume on the fly. It’s not very precise but works in a pinch. Connecting to a PS5 or PC requires a USB connection for the battery charger/transmitter, but there’s a bluetooth connection available for connecting your phone for music or taking calls. This way you can game without worrying about missing any important calls and it makes it easy to provide your own soundtrack. Spotify integration works well. It’s easy to balance the game sound and music through the app. When recording gameplay the boom mic is highly recommended, because it sounds more clear and professional when talking. There’s actually 2 sets of microphones that come with this headset. There’s a set of stealth microphones that are built into the headphones and work well in everyday use, but it also comes with a boom microphone that you can plug-in when microphone sound quality is a higher priority. Without the boom mic, my voice did sound a little echoey and tinny, but not enough to be distracting. The boom mic alleviated those issues and made a significant increase in sound quality. It’s also easy to install and use, but I don’t like that I had to turn off the headset when I wanted to remove the boom mic. When I removed the boom mic during gameplay, it did not automatically switch back to the default mic. In any event, either mic setup sounds much better than the one built into the PS5 controller. COMFORT/DESIGN Excellent fit and finish. A bit bulky but not too heavy when wearing. High quality materials and comfortable leather padding. The ear cups feel very nice and the leather reminds me of a high-end sofa. The headphones firmly hug my big head, but not overly so where it felt too tight. The longest I wore these in one session was four hours. They do get a little warm, but not unbearably so. Taking them off for a second every other hour or so helped keep things comfortable. The battery life so far has been outstanding. Each battery is rated for 12 hours on a full charge and that actually seems accurate. Even better is that it includes 2 batteries, so there’s essentially no downtime as long as you keep one charging. Overall, the Stealth Pro is a strong offering from Turtle Beach in the high end ANC gaming headphone market. There’s stiff competition in this range, but the excellent sound, battery life, and ease of use should make the Stealth Pro a strong contender. They’re great for gaming, casual multimedia use, live streaming, and look great doing so. PROS - Switching between devices is a breeze. Adding it to my Switch, Android, or Macbook was as easy as setting it up on the PS5 - Nice carrying case comes in handy - Active Noise Cancellation works very well. Reduces the ambient noise, but I can still hear when someone calls my name - 12 hours of battery life. I’ve been using these headphones for about 8 hours and the voice that tells you the battery level still says it is “high”. - Very well built. Headphones are very sturdy, excellent fit and finish with quality materials. I don’t feel like any of the parts will easily come off or break - Boom mic automatically mutes when adjusted to the vertical position - Can reconfigure the volume wheel to perform secondary functions - “Superhuman hearing” mode seems to actually help. Love that it’s a single button to switch on/off and it doubles as a mute button when held. - Comes with a nice storage bag/carrying case. - Bag has a nice inside pouch, probably for charging cables, but snacks fit too. - Auto shut-off to 5, 10, 20 or 30 (default) minutes CONS - A bit bulky, but not overly heavy - The headphones start to get warm about an hour after wearing, but the heat plateaus and I never really felt overheated. Just took them off briefly to let my ears breathe. - I wish the headphones would auto shut-off when my PS5 goes into Rest Mode or is turned off. You can set auto shut-off to 5, 10, 20 or 30 minutes though - Must power off headphones when removing the boom mic. - Limited range of motion on the boom mic attachment. I like being able to rotate it all the way around - Took a few minutes to realize the volume knob was an actual hidden knob to rotate and not touch sensitive (user error) - At the price point I’d hope it would come with a stand where I could keep it when I’m not using it, but maybe I’m just cheap

This headset was bought to upgrade from the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+, i tried to use the Nova Pro and compared to this headset the sound felt empty. I'm new to the closed backs, and i have to say it does take somw getting used to but that doesnt take away from this great headset. Turtle Beach seemingly took the next step and went into the lab to fine tune this headset, bringing me back to the quality I once knew from the old PS3 days. Pairing this with the mobile app, you can control and fine tune everything on the fly. The build quality of this headset is great, but the weight of the headset does take some play sessions of getting used to. The stock ear cushions feel comfortable although i swapped mine out for some off of Wicked Cushions and those are just a tad better. I do find during long sessions i have to lift an ear cup off my ear because they get warm. All in all this headset is a great upgrade for anyone, just keep in mind that if youre going from an open back there is a learning curve.

Fantastic audio and noise canceling, but heavy

Pro: -Great noise canceling -Customizable audio settings on both PC and PS5 -2 battery packs for total of 24 hours -2 mics, a built in and the removable boom mic -Simultaneous USB and bluetooth connection Con: -Heavy and can press down on your head -Clamping force Out of the box, the audio sounds fantastic, especially with 3D Audio on the PS5. I can hear the detailed environmental sounds clearly and the direction of the sounds is distinct. I feel like I’m in the middle of the busy streets in Spider-Man, or I can hear the heavy steps and crunches in God of War. Sounds traveling from left to right, or back to front really feel immersive. The noise canceling is impressive, reducing all background noise significantly. Most low frequency noises are blocked out, while higher pitch noises, like fan noises, are less audible. Even dialogue from the TV is muffled by at least half. Unlike some other Active Noise Canceling headsets, there’s barely a hiss and most of the time you can’t even tell that it’s on. I wish there was a voice prompt when switching it on and off. There are actually two mics on the headset, the removable boom mic and a built-in one which deactivates once the boom mic is attached. The boom mic is the better of the two but it’s nice to have the option to remove it and use the built-in for more casual use. The mics are okay. It’s clear enough but still obvious it’s a headset mic lacking in the lows and doesn’t sound that full. The audio settings can be customized either with the desktop app or through the mobile app (bluetooth connected). There’s a lot of settings that can be adjusted. For game audio, there’s settings for the Superhuman Hearing and Noise Canceling. For the mic, the sensitivity and noise gate can be adjusted. There’s custom EQ for both the game audio and mic to help boost the clarity or presence. Lastly the functions of the wheel and multiple action button can be reassigned independently for the PC and PS5. Comfort is where this headset loses some points. These are on the heavy side, the heaviest pair of headsets I’ve owned in this price range. While the paddings are very soft, it still presses down on my head more than other headsets. The clamping force by itself isn’t too bad, but combined with the weight makes it feel heavier. I got used to it after wearing them for a couple of sessions. Like other headsets with the plastic leather padding, it can get hot around the ears for me. Battery life is plenty for my usage. It comes with two quick change battery packs, each lasting 12 hours. One battery can be charged in the transmitter and the other can be charged by plugging the headset directly.

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Multiplatform Wireless headset is a high-quality headset that delivers great sound quality, comfort, and versatility. It's designed to work with a range of platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and mobile devices, making it a versatile choice for gamers who play across multiple devices. One of the key features of this headset is its wireless connectivity. It uses a USB dongle to connect to your device, which provides a strong and reliable connection without any lag or interference. This means you can enjoy a seamless gaming experience without any interruptions or delays. The sound quality is also impressive. The headset uses 50mm speakers with neodymium magnets to deliver clear and powerful audio. The bass is deep and punchy, and the mids and highs are crisp and detailed. You can also customize the sound using the Turtle Beach Audio Hub app, which allows you to adjust the EQ settings to your liking. Another great feature of this headset is its comfort. The earcups are made from soft and breathable material that feels comfortable even after hours of gaming. They also provide good noise isolation, so you can focus on the game without any distractions. The microphone is also impressive. It's detachable, which is handy if you don't want to use it all the time, and it delivers clear and crisp voice communication. It also has a flip-up-to-mute feature, which is useful if you need to quickly mute yourself during a game. One downside of this headset is that it's a bit on the heavy side. It weighs around 1.2 pounds, which can be tiring if you wear it for long periods. However, the weight is evenly distributed, so it doesn't feel too heavy on your head. Overall, the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Multiplatform Wireless headset is a great choice for gamers who want a versatile headset that delivers great sound quality, comfort, and versatility. It's a bit on the expensive side, but it's worth the investment if you want a high-quality headset that can be used with multiple devices.

I could not wait to use these headphones! I was amazed at the high quality materials these headphones were built with. I love that these headphones are not super light and has a nice weight on them. I really hate those headphones they cost a lot and are extremely light and cheap feeling. I actually like to feel a little bit of weight on my head when I put on headphones. I've had a lot of headphones over the years with noise cancellation feature, but these are phenomenal! I literally couldn't hear anything outside of the game while playing with these headphones! I really love the touch volume button on the side of the headphones, which is pretty basic but I think it's a cool feature, and I love you adjustable mic. Playing call of duty, you can literally hear every sound in the game! I literally hear stuff that I've never heard when playing with my other headphones. Also while playing watch dogs, I heard a lot of different styles in the background that I haven't heard when I beat it the first time. The only small thing I don't like, is where the mute button is. But everything else is great, including how easy it was to connect.
