A Radar Detector that Delivers
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Uniden R3 after doing some research online and reading positive reviews from other users. I have to say, this radar detector exceeded my expectations. It has a very long range and can detect various bands and lasers with high accuracy. It also has a built-in GPS that can alert me of red light cameras and speed traps, as well as a mute memory feature that can filter out false alerts from common sources. The display is clear and easy to read, and the device is user-friendly and customizable. I especially like the all threat mode that shows up to four radar bands in the area, ranked by signal strength. The Uniden R3 is a great radar detector for the price and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and effective device. It is definitely worth 4.5 stars out of 5.

Extreme Long Range!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lot of bang for the buck with the R3. No problem with picking up radar and plenty of time to slow your roll. I do miss the arrows of the V1 at times, but more out of the box functionality and longer range with R3 offsets it. Just finishing up a 1500 mile vacation trip and worked very well. A little chirpy at times with some automaker's BSM systems.

Best cost effective radar detector out there
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a cost effective Radar Detector, this should be option 1. I ended up buying r3 SE so i can get a few more k blocks, and honestly where I am I can probably disable K band completely. It's definitely an investment, but it also definitely pays itself off. Catches KA from far away, is very customizable, and can be as quiet/loud as you need. 10/10

Beats out the others
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using the R3 for over a year. Wow this thing has good range! The GPS memory is solid and eliminates a lot of K signals all over town. It has plenty of memory space to store locations. The customizable alerts are a big plus. GPS speed indication is a benefit since my speedo is off due to oversize tires. The mount could be more robust. It broke after a year due to vibration fatigue. I found a better mount on Amazon though. Reading/watching reviews the R3 is just as good as the R7 just with a couple less features but at a much better price point. I would definitely recommend!

Long Distance Detection
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The detection on this thing is insane. Sometimes miles. Plenty of time to slow down. It is extremely loud when you get an alert. Such good quality for a reasonable price. Don't think about it, just buy it. You will not be sorry

Incredible range and sensitivity
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been looking at radar detectors for just over a year now and knew that I wanted the Uniden brand because of their long-distance radar ability. I decided not to get the R7 only because of the difference in cost and in the rural area that I live the pointing arrow directions were not that important to me. I know that the R7 has a few other features that the R3 doesn’t but the R3 will fulfill all of my needs and then some for years to come. At just under $300 I felt the value was there. The product is easy to use, nice looking and comes with two different window mounts.

Ticket Saver!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to use on a long road trip from SC to FL and back. I drove around 1,000 miles with this detector and it did a great job alerting me to police radar. Definitely saved me a few times. The only negative is the detector will get set off by Honda minivans but there are settings to minimize the false alerts. There are actually a ton of settings. Takes some time to learn them all. This detector is expensive but you get what you pay for.

Solid Detector
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This will sniff out Ka band radar at times up to 3 miles away on a straight run two lane road with very little hills, traffic or bad weather. On avg with traffic or a major 4 lane highway it's reliable down to around 1-2 miles. 9 out of 10 times you will sniff out his radar gun before he has a visual on you. Solid $300 detector.

Perfect Radar
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really simple to use. It does the job and is reliable. The mounting bracket also never comes off which I’ve had issues on other radars. Best bang for your buck and will save you on speeding tickets

Impressive
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It rated as one of the best radar detectors now. Good price to performance ratio. Very long detecting range, especially on the Ka band. I got warnings long before visual range, or even behind a curve. Got also warnings for laser radar. Somewhat annoying on the K band as you get warnings on the highway mode from electronics on other cars. Yes, I would recommend it.

The best
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A whole lot of research went into this purchase. It is the best value. Hardwire can be difficult in GM vehicles if using the mirror tap for to inconsistent voltage. I hardwired mine to battery without issue. Picks up miles away from signal. Watch out for false signal from Auto doors and stop lights

Good mid-level detector
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice radar detector. It is definitely an older model compared to other brands like Valentine. Lacks directional and sometime I do wonder where the signal is coming from. But you save more than $200 compare to other brands. It is very sensitive and works wells in highways. In the city, there is a lot of false alarm, but it can be customized to reduce the noise. Overall, it is a great device if you are on a "budget"

Great Range!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This radar detector works perfect! Insane range picks up the local cops KA band from well beyond sight. Filtering options, built-in GPS, and traffic camera features put it a top pick for the price. Forget the competitors max360, for $150 less this is a much better buy!

Excellent radar detector Uniden Rocks long range
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works good saved me at least 6 times first month long range they will price match Amazon saved me $50 . I use to go with escort and they are over priced and overrated not as good as they use to be so this uniden was the way to go I looked at testings and they were good so I thought I would try it I am not disappointed the advance setting you can tweak to your area works great barely any false alarms. The voice display is good. And red light camera, gps works great to remember false alarms you can set by tapping mute twice. Turn down k band for false alarms and cars with blind spot sensors. Overall very happy for the price. Get the hardwire kit easy set up.

the simplicity makes this amazing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bells and whistles and bands and lasers make no sense to me. I want to know which areas I drive through require just a bit more caution and I want to know which areas are a false alarm. With this Uniden R3 not only do I get the comfort of knowing its a brand I trust, I get the ease of a one-button "set it and forget it" system. When passing through areas with automatic doors and such that trigger the false alarms it is literally with the press of a button that I never have to check again for police, ambulances, or other systems that trigger the radar detector. With those, I also get an amazingly long range of radar detection knowing when there is an accident or speed trap and whether to avoid the area or resume cautiously. Being in the middle of the road on price was definitely a big part of my decision in purchasing this, I didn't want too cheap to where I wouldn't trust it but not too expensive to where satellites would set it off. I feel confident in this radar detector and I would recommend this model to anyone that wants that extra level of precaution while on the road.

Uniden r3
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was going to buy Escort 360 because it’s having a 360 detection but after doing some research all radar Detectors have 360 front and rear Detection only it’s a marketing ploy for a escort 360 or another version of the escort they just have a rear antenna for arrows to tell you if the cop is in front of you or behind you my advice is do your home work this Uniden r3 have great range vs Uniden r7 for 200 hundred dollars more I didn’t see justifying difference in price I just bought a brand new pickup truck I think good I have in my truck I don’t drive really fast but I like to drive about 70 miles mph even on the country highway that’s posted less speed limits

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has pretty much picked up every cop on the road without missing a beat. Also picks up every cvs and Walgreens as most radar detectors do. The detector pays for itself if you are a little heavy footed.
