Powerful Desktop
Very happy with this purchase. Had an Aurora R8 for about 6 years and it has been a great computer, but it was time to get up to date on specs and performance.
This spec build in particular is the best balance between cost and performance, in my opinion. Great for 4k video editing, gaming and general use. It is quiet and it looks amazing, I love this new design.
Just research online, but this new gen i7 is a monster, about the same performance as previous gen i9s, 32GB of ram is a must have with today's games and applications, the RTX 4070 graphics card is very powerful as well (massive step up from lower models). Here is the thing if you are a hard core 4k gamer that wants to see the best graphics possible you might need to spend some more and step up on the graphics card, but these specs are more than enough for my needs.
Plenty of critics online of the Alienware series desktops argue that you can build a similar pc for less money, I have been hearing this argument for about 20 years. Sure and maybe save a few hundred bucks. But some of us don't want to get into that, I bought my R16 and had it running in 15 minutes, with full warranty, Dell customer support (which is phenomenal) and all working smoothly.
Lastly, I picked this up on sale during the holidays and it was actually a better deal than at Dells's site. Plus I get all the perks as a Best Buy plus member. Really loving this membership and Best Buy customer service.

Steller performance on AAA games!
Love the clean, minimalist design from the new Aurora R16 alienware! The performance on this thing is top notch. I watched several YT videos on the benchmarks for the Aurora R16 with 4070 and it was around top 5 performance to price ratio. The YT video I saw also said it had good airflow and didn't overheat. I've played Starfield, COD, EA FC and they all performed smooth. I was looking at a pre-built and Alienware did a phenomal job with this. Some drawbacks that are new is that alienware uses proprietary motherboard so upgrading certain things are not possible or hard. I'm good with that. Last thing, it has Wifi 6e and I have the nest wifi pro so the downloads are fast and gameplay on wifi isn't affected. Definitely impressed.

Sim rig pc
Guided by Best Buy personnel I bought this pc for a racing sim rig with triple monitors. Performance has been exceptional for fast paced sim racing and graphics are terrific. Can almost smell the tires smoking!!!
