I enjoy this oven. It is so versatile. I’ve used it to air fry, convection bake and regular bake so far. All great results. I’ve also found a pizza stone that fits in my oven for making that crispy crust. I just can’t seem to get my in oven camera to work. Not sure if my installer did it incorrectly but overall I am happy with this purchase.

I have had this oven for 4 months and I love it. I wanted a high-end oven with all the high-end features but didn't want to pay the cost of a small car that is charged by the "big-names" in the business. The oven heats very quickly and precisely and despite the high-tech, is extremely easy use including its more complex features. It is easy to clean, has strong and stable racks, I love the door opening feature using Alexa along with the in-oven camera to monitor the cooking progress, temperature, timer, etc., on the cell phone. Lastly, despite being a wall mounted double oven, it is incredibly attractive yet minimalist in appearance. It is my second purchase of a Cafe kitchen appliance (the other is a gas cooktop) which is also great. I now am loyal to that brand.

This would probably be three stars if not for the high price of the item. I mean, technically it cooks, but I could have paid 1/5 or less for an oven that cooks. It just has way too many problems for an item this expensive. The majority of the issues are probably due to GE not investing in competent software engineers. (We have several of their remotely operated LED light bulbs, and GE having incompetent software engineers in not even remotely a surprise.) The oven doors are supposed to be able to be opened remotely, for example if you have a turkey in your hands. The top one does open. Say “Alexa, open the upper oven door,” wait about five to ten seconds, oven door opens and Alexa says “Okay.” However, say “Alexa, open lower oven door,” wait five to ten seconds, nothing happens and Alexa says “Okay.” Now the lower oven door not opening *may* be a mechanical issue (we’ll be putting in a call to GE for service soon; wish us well), but the slowness of the response is evidence of extremely incompetent software engineers. Did they actually do *any* testing outside of the lab? That is not the only issue however. The oven is supposed to display the weather on its screen. (Optional if you don’t want it.) But it gets stuck on one particular weather forecast and never changes. The only way to fix it is to have the oven forget your wi-fi and set it back up again. If you’ve ever set up remote capabilities on any appliance, you know that is never easy, fun, or fast. Again, the whole problem speaks to an incompetent software engineering staff. Come on, GE, invest some of the ludicrous cost of these Cafe appliances in your software engineering staff, and particularly in the quality control area. Another issue, the upper oven supposedly has a camera so that you can remotely view the contents, but it has never worked. Again, it might be a mechanical issue, but is more likely bad software engineering again. (At the very least, if it were a mechanical issue, competent engineering could at least display useful error messages, not like the “A valid mode must be selected to stream longer” message I recently received while trying to get it to work. (The user selects no mode.)) Well, at the very least, it does cook and it looks beautiful, though not nearly $5K beautiful.
