Customers are saying
Customers are delighted by the EX2780Q monitor's brightness, vibrant colors, and surprisingly good built-in speakers, with many also praising the convenient remote control. However, some users found the HDR performance underwhelming and the stand to be somewhat limited in adjustability. The monitor's build quality also received positive feedback. The monitor is Great! Don't hesitate to buy!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Long review : So I wanted something for gaming on my newly built PC running I7 9700k processor and a 2060 Super. I realized 4k I would love to have but for the price it's not worth it. My graphics card is going to do 1440 just fine and this is the reason I got it. I didn't need a crazy fancy 1ms lag monitor. I just wanted something that has a great Refresh rate and decent 1-10ms. I also wanted dual monitor which is the reason I bought a 24" Dell Gaming Monitor S2417DG. It was TN that had bad viewing angles. Figured do I really care? When am I going to be viewing the monitor from the side. Really not a big deal. Fast response time with 1ms and 165hz Refresh rate and under $300. Awesome Deal. For a casual gamer that does play Call of duty and fast paced games the response time was great. However the picture quality was not. The best way to describe it is that it appears as if the brightness is turned all the way up. It has that haze look. First of all I thought 27" is HUGE no way to run dual monitors so I got 24" dell and I just can't play on it. It runs great but going from Sony 930e TV to Dell monitor the colors are not even close. Every setting I tried changing and following tweaks from online. It look good but it did not look great. I bought a monitor that I want to play on not one that looks okay. So for $150 more I went with the BenQ with all these wonderful reviews. Now if your on a budget and need a good priced monitor that dell is awesome and you wont find better for the specs. It wasn't horrible. I liked it alot just Im about the best of the best always. BenQ was it worth it? So worth it. I now have not played on my TV a single time since getting this monitor. The colors are great the response time is fast and 144hz makes a huge difference coming from 60. Everything feels ridiculously smooth. Just moving windows around in a circle I am just amazed. Color is accurate I loved not having to adjust anything it came out of box looking great. Only thing I changed was color mode to Gamer 2. I like the extra pop of color especially when playing. I can't stress enough you pay for what you get. Also 27" is a perfect size it's not that big and this is coming from someone that's going to run dual monitors. G-sync compatible. Yes confirmed this is. Even if it doesn't specifically say so it is. And also confirmed that I was able to enable it. Response time yes I can barely tell the difference between 1-5ms. Yes the dell felt a little faster but not at all worth losing all the color quality. I feel like you just can't enjoy a game without it looking amazing. Connections: Big deal for me. I run a TV through hdmi and 2 monitors. So I love that BenQ has all 3 options. Even if I want to play on my ps4 it will work! Which is great. To clear some things up because I heard inaccurate information from YouTube reviews. HDR, Gsync, Refresh rate will WORK on TYPE C, hdmi, and Display. Yes I can confirm it works on all three because I tried on all three. People online said gsync only works on display and HDR only works on HDMI. This is a lie. I confirmed this is not the case. Of course you need the correct cables. But it will work. Currently using type C and I love it. Also was able to use Type C cable for my girlfriends mac on this monitor and it works great! If your coming from a TV with 50-100ms lag. Going to a 5 ms lag is going to be a huge difference. You will not be disappointed. HDR yea the reviews are right HDR is meh I mean for call of duty it was whatever kinda got darker I like it to be bright so i disabled it. However what they didn't say is I believe HDR is great for Videos. I downloaded a full quality HDR 4k demo video and WOW HDR looks amazing. It's so nice that I wouldn't be able to tell difference between my TV and monitor it looks that good. So for that I can say HDR works great! For gaming though I would say leave off but it's not bad so try it and see if you like it. Also HDR-I is okay but same thing wouldn't use no need to. ALSO Love having a remote to change settings on the fly. Very convenient. Speakers Okay so many people overhyped them :l So are they amazing?! No they're not. They don't get super loud or sound crystal clear. However do they sound good? Yes! There great and work better than any other monitor speakers. Can definitely say I will be using this as my dedicated speakers. There is no more need to buy external speakers. They will work for YouTube and basic needs. But don't think this will be insanely good. I do love them though. Overall I am so happy with this monitor. It's worth the extra money. Save up never settle. Your forever going to say if only I spent a little more I would've got a better monitor. Don't find yourself there get the BenQ! I also was skeptical btw because so many reviews said all these people were paid for reviewing on YouTube. I don't doubt it but hey I'm an honest reviewer and can tell you the reviews are for the most part accurate. I left this review because I wish I knew that HDR and G-sync work through type C. So thought I'd share everything else ☺.

A outstanding gaming monitor!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is the best I've owned...well worth the price tag. I have no dead pixels so quality worthy of the BenQ brand. I just wish I bought 2 of them when I had the chance, my next repurchase for sure!

Very pleased with this monitor.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would actually rate this at 4.5, but lean closer to a 5. I read so many reviews on so many different monitors and I decided this was the one. And I am more than happy I chose this over all the tough competition. The stand has little adjustments, but for my desk it is perfectly placed in front of me. I thought I wouldn’t care for the remote but I love it. Adjusting the settings to ‘office’ when I work and then to ‘multimedia’ when playing games is so nice. The speakers are more than enough for my quiet office. I leave it at 6 out of 50! Occasionally going to 10. It comes with a usb-c cable that I hook directly to my MacBook to get the 144hz and qhd res. Nice! It has slight backlight bleed on the bottom left. I had to play a game that was all black screen and I still barely notice. I believe all large displays are affected by this in one way or another. The hdr is cool I guess, i only play one game and don’t watch movies on the computer. Most reviewers say it’s too dim. My home office does not have direct sun so the brightness and clarity to me are good. Would I buy this again ? Yes!

At $400, excellent, at MSRP would look elsewhere
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased for my teenage son. Great screen, no dead pixels, first monitor I have bought with solid sound and the remote is super handy (add a Firestick or something similar and doubles as a nice bedroom/dorm TV). Lacks the gamer look if you want that, stand is of limited use, and colors need some tweaking out of the box, but if you can get for $400 like I did, strongly recommend. Also has the latest connectivity and is unofficially GSync compatible. Nits seem brighter than the specs say.

I would like to buy another one.

Very Nice
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent monitors. Being used for graphic design and AV production work. Great brightness and color accuracy. One of the two units came with a few dead pixels, but I never did anything about it because I barely notice them, and don't want to be without a 2nd monitor.

Overall worth every penny.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this monitor price matched with Best Buy which made product that much more enjoyable since it was at a deal but overall the monitor is great, colors are vibrant and speakers are a bonus. I would pay full price for this monitor. That’s how much I like it. Wish it had a adjustable stand but it’s not a total deal breaker.

Bright is GOOD!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes, this monitor has the highest amount of nits I have encountered. But this is for a good reason. I work in environments that get sun exposure. Having this monitor helps me work in such sun-filled spaces. Kudos to BenQ for also equipping this monitor for the best built-in speakers I have ever encountered. The included remote control makes me wish that every monitor manufacturer included such devices.

Q: QuestionIs this a 1ms response rate?
Asked by BbqBob420.
- A:Answer No monitor performs at a 1ms rate when under load. this is a misleading measurement by manufacturers to dupe consumers into believing their monitor is faster than others. Look at the G to G rating... It tells a much more accurate story. the 1ms you're referring to measures the point where a standard frame they select in a measurement ends and the next one starts... this tells you nothing about how the monitor will perform in a gaming environment. check the reviews on YouTube and see what the g to g or Gray to Gray measurement is. that measures 1 whole frame under load to the next whole frame. 3.8 ms is good 4 to 5 is ok anything higher is Oh well... But keep in mind most people are never going to notice the difference or be able to react to this even at 8 ms..
