iPad mini. Built for Apple Intelligence. It’s incredibly portable and powerful, featuring the ultrafast A17 Pro chip, an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display, plus superfast Wi-Fi 6E. And it works with Apple Pencil Pro, so you can study, work, play, and create from anywhere.
A: Answer to question 1: No, unfortunately the iPad Mini 7 (nor any other iPad for that matter) can’t keep the same phone number as the same person’s iPhone on either the WiFi-only or cellular model iPads. However, the way to get around this is to go to the Settings app on your iPhone, find the Phone app, scroll down to Calls On Other Devices under Calls, and turn on for the other Apple devices you may own (iPads, MacBook, iMac). Answer to question 2: No, unfortunately the iPad Mini 7 (as well as the 2024 iPad Pros and 2024 iPad Airs) is only compatible with either the Apple Pencil Pro or the Apple Pencil USB-C, and not the Apple Pencil 1st Gen nor Apple Pencil 2nd Gen nor the Apple Pencil lightning connector model. Apple did this to this year’s iPad Pro models and iPad Air models as well where Apple dropped compatibility with the Apple Pencil 2nd Gen (and Apple Pencils before it) for the iPad Pro 2024 series and iPad Air 2024 series, as well as the iPad Mini 7. Hopefully this helps.
Q: Do ya price match? Amazon got new ipad mini 7th gen for $84 off 128gb model $89 off for 256gb model
A: They price match to Costco as well. Submit a request via chat under support. Not sure if they price match during Black Friday FWIW.
A: If you want GPS get a Cellular model, it’s not on WiFi.
A: On your old iPad, go to "Settings > General> and select "Transfer or Reset iPad". Very easy, but get your new iPad first. Then you will transfer all your old data to your new iPad. Apple has a migration program to walk you through this. Then, when you are running on your new iPad, reset the old one and trade it in.
A: The latest is 2024 Generations 7 but covers for 6 & 7 use the same cover.
Q: Can I still purchase a Best Buy warranty?
A: undefined
Q: How much does the mini weigh?
A: 10.3 oz according to the specs found on Apple support website.
Q: When did this mini come out?
A: November 2024

I’ve been using the iPad Mini for a few weeks now, and it’s been a game-changer. I love how it fits perfectly in my bag, making it super convenient to carry around. Whether I’m reading e-books during my commute or watching videos in bed, the display is sharp and clear. The Apple Pencil works like a charm for jotting down notes and sketching ideas. It’s become my go-to device for both work and play. It’s just so easy to pick up and use for any task that pops up during the day. Whether I’m scheduling my day, replying to emails, or unwinding with a game, the iPad Mini handles it all effortlessly. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a versatile and portable device.

I really do not understand what people are complaining about with the new iPad Mini 7th Gen. I purchased the iPad Mini 6th Gen WiFi 64GB for $399, prior to knowing about the upcoming official iPad Mini 7th Gen, which happened a few days afterward. So, I returned the Mini 6th Gen and pre-ordered the Mini 7th Gen WiFi 128GB for $499. The Mini 7th Gen has the A17 Pro chip compared to the A15 chip in the Mini 6th Gen. The Mini 7th Gen has double the memory (8GB) over the Mini 6th Gen (4GB), offers 128GB-512GB storage rather than 64GB-256GB, and also has Bluetooth 5.3, rather than Bluetooth 5.0. Apple also did not raise the prices. Did I mention that the Mini 7th Gen has identical dimensions, meaning any prior cases, screen protectors, or other Mini 6th Gen accessories will fit perfectly. Yes, the Mini 7th Gen is currently $100 more than the Mini 6th Gen, but it is also 3 years newer, which means it will receive official iOS updates for 3 years longer. For me, I think it was worth the additional $100.

I LOVE the iPad mini 7! The screen size is perfect for one hand and the new screen (way better than 10th gen) and processor will keep it fast for years. The colors are a little muted for my taste, but they’re still cute! The 128gb is plenty for most iPad users and a welcome upgrade to the previous 64gb which was a little limiting for me especially with movies or shows for the plane.
