Q: Does this come with a Sim card? Is one required to activate wifi?
A: The cellular model has an e-SIM. None of the models use a physical SIM. Apple has phased out physical SIMS on all its iPhones and now on the iPad mini 7. All models are WiFi capable out of the box. No SIM (or e-SIM) is ever required for WiFi. You only need a SIM (or e-SIM) if you want to use CELLULAR data. Data over WiFi uses entirely different technology and it is built-in on every iPad, whether cellular capable or not.

100% satisfactory
I recently purchased the iPad Mini, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision! It’s the perfect blend of portability and power. The size makes it super convenient to carry around—I can easily slip it into my bag or even hold it comfortably in one hand. Performance-wise, it’s incredibly fast. Apps load quickly, multitasking is smooth, and the display is crisp and vibrant. I primarily use it for note-taking, reading, and light creative work, and it handles everything flawlessly. The Apple Pencil (2nd gen) support is a game-changer for jotting down notes or sketching. Battery life is impressive, lasting me through the day with moderate use. If I had to point out one downside, it would be the lack of a higher refresh rate on the screen, but honestly, it’s not a dealbreaker for me. Overall, the iPad Mini is a fantastic device for anyone looking for a compact yet powerful tablet. Highly recommend!

Near perfect!
Extremely light weight, excellent size, great screen, and love how the apple pencil can be used. I love this little thing! The only bad thing I wish was better is the battery life, but it’s not bad, iust not perfect

iPad Mini is perfect for my needs
Love the iPad Mini for its size. I purchased a previous iPad for portability and note taking. However, I found it heavier and more cumbersome than I expected after putting it in a protective case. Switching to the Mini is providing the experience I initially wanted
