A: The Brother SDX-125 is a great tool for greeting card making. There are several optional kits available to enhance the use of the machine, for paper crafting such as rhinestone, embossing, calligraphy, paper piercing, foiling, sticker and more!
Q: What is the difference between the 125 vs the 125e? Do they have the same products in the box?

A: Brother ScanNCut machines can read .SVG files to use as draw and cut data. Simple designs can be imported and edited straight from USB 2.0 Flash Drives. You'd only want to use their Canvas Workspace software on your PC (Windows/Apple) if it were more intricate or complicated. This is to take advantage of vastly greater processing power and much larger screen "real estate" for designing and converting .SVGs to what you want. While I've only been able to work on one project at a time I can copy data from a different project file to paste into a new one. Just open one project file, select the portions you need, copy them. Then close that project and open the one you want to add these elements to. Paste the data into the project file, continue to edit, save your work before closing it again. Yes this can be a hassle if you have to do it often. But keep in mind this is a machine targeted chiefly at home sewing, crafting, and small business uses. You could also try printing the "die cuts" to use as scan to cut data on the ScanNCut DX machines. You can also use their PC software to import .JPGs to enable a similar feature of converting images to cut files. Be wary though that the design isn't too richly detailed as it either will not work at all or will be too big/complicated for the machine's internal computer to cope with. If you're a Windows user I strongly advise you to get PowerToys which lets you see the images of the Brother .FCMs, project files, .SVGs, and .PDFs without having to open each one respectively. Brother's software introduced a new premium feature that allows for printing your designs to .PDFs. That will allow you to use registration marks and make prints on your inkjet or laser printer. I find that designing in their software is rather easy and had asked if they could allow print to .PDF. While I can't say they added this feature specifically for me I can say I plan to buy the extra feature asap. I hope this helps.
Q: I can't seem to find a pdf of something showing me what quilt patterns the sdx 125 has
A: Try asking Support if they can send one to you: https://www.brother-usa.com/products/sdx125e The way the quilt patterns are shown on the cutter is as a whole plus with stages dedicated to each portion of the design. This lets people choose exactly which part of the quilt they want to work on or to choose the entire pattern.
Q: Does brother scanncut sdx 85 come with mat
A: The Brother SDX85 comes with a 12" x 12" standard mat.
