Long term review
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use these everyday for hours on phone calls. I absolutely don't know what I would do if I had to take my phone out of my pocket for every phone call I make or recieve. These head phones do a lot of things really well. But after 9 months of use they are falling apart. The call quality (microphone) is much better than previous versions of these. The battery life is not near as good as previous versions. The sound quality is the best I have heard in a Bluetooth devices. Turning my head to the left will cause the head set to disconnect. This seems to be related to the Bluetooth antenna being on the left side and my neck/head blocking the signal. Glad I bought the geek squad protection plan because LGs warranty return policies are terrible. I can't be without my headphones for two weeks to find out if they will even repair them. These are well used and are hanging on by a thread. The rubber piece in the back has come disconnected from the hard plastic and they just dangle. I am 6'4 and have a larger neck than most. Wearing these 5 days a week for 12hrs a day put a lot of stress on that point of the headset. Also the first time you need to clean the earbuds the little screen that keeps ear gunk from getting into the headphones will come out. There has been a few times that I thought one of the ear buds stopped working only to find out the ear buds were blocked by debris. Ultimately I would recommend these but make sure you get the geek squad plan if you plan on using these everyday. Do not call LG for warranty repairs you will be disappointed. It doesn't matter how nice or not nice you are they stick to their policy. I have tried both.

Too expensive for mediocre sound & non-durability
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had LG Tones earphones since the beginning (HBS-730) and it seems that LG doesn't make them to last more than a few months now. My first pair lasted me over two years and I only paid approx. $50 bucks at the time. Now that I've spent more money, I'm disappointed to say that I only manage to have them in one piece for about 6 months before it broke around the rubber part (most flexible part) that sits on the back of your neck. The sound isn't as loud as I would like. Definitely not as loud as the 730 or the LG tone ultra (HBS-810) which was my second pair. Same problem with the ultra, the inner plastic tube that keeps it all together broke just like these platinum ones. I thought because the the platinum has more "real estate" so to speak, that they'll last but that's totally not the case. I have glue holding these things together now...very poorly made but ironically enough, both earbuds still work...for now anyway. How did I break them you ask? I simply dropped them and with my luck, the inner tube to the right side broke first, then the other side broke and now it has multiple fractures everywhere, the thing is literally coming apart, glue and all.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by stating that i absolutely love this particular product. Not great for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I get intermittent periods of the person on the other end of the call able to understand me or hear me. I especially notice it when I am in my recliner or my bed kind of in a reclined position. 1 thing at least is that everyone isn't telling me that they hear everything else better than me like they were on my LG 900 series that I had before. Also the bluetooth connection is very poor. Can't seem to walk into the next room without them breaking up on me. The cost versus what you get out of this bluetooth headset is definitely not worth the money!

IT'S NOT WHAT I EXPECTED
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The rubber part that is meant for bending it broke after a month. Maybe just bad luck but I bought it for full price so very dissapointing.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between LG - TONE Platinum HBS-1100 Headset In-Ear Behind-The-Neck Mount Wireless Headphones - Silver - Larger Front SKU: 4950700 and the LG - TONE INFINIM HBS-910 Bluetooth Headset - Black Model: HBS-910.ACBBBKI SKU: 4950301?
Asked by Chuck.
- A:Answer The platinum has balanced armature drivers instead of the dynamic drivers in the infinim, balanced armature provide higher amounts of clarity with sacrifice of bass and dynamic driver headphones are most common as it contains a moving coil inside. Balanced armature headphones are preferred more by audiophiles who care about clarity throughout the highs mid and lows, dynamic drivers tend to do better with the bass lows. Also the infinim has a longer battery life than the platinums. Also the platinums use a technology called aptx which preserves audio quality when using bluetooth to fully hear audio as if it is a wired connection.

Q: QuestionHas anyone has had the opportunity to compare the lg tone platinum to the bose qc30?
Asked by science2016.
This question was asked about the related product: LG - TONE Platinum Wireless In-Ear Behind-the-Neck Headphones - Black
- A:Answer I have. These are completely two different types of headphones and without knowing what kind of phone you have and what kind of music you listen to it's hard to give you a soild recomdation. The LG platinum are HI fi supported and not a lot of phones support this feature yet. Now if you have a LG v20 that may matter. The LG like all the lg's lack bass if you are into that. The LG's do excel in battery life. The LG's have no noise cancellation. The may say on the box or somewhere online they have noise isolation but that's just fancy talk that the plug your ears. The LG's reproduce the music well mids, highs, it's clear just lacks bass. The Bose are QC 30 are bose first around the neck style. The big reason for the price difference is the Bose have noise cancellation. The LG's do not. The Bose plays a tone in your ear that blocks background noise. You can turn that feature on or off. It's good and bad. The Bose ear tips are very comfortable but they do not isolate sound well. That's where the noise cancellation in them come in. So you can hear people around you If you have it off. If you do have it on it does not block out something that is not consistent like children screaming on and off, a busy city. What it will do is if you were on a plane is drown out that loud engine and air noise that is consistent. However the Bose represent the music the best. Mids, highs, lows, the bass is deep not over powered like beats but a good in the middle range. It's all preference, If you don't need noise cancellation don't mind having your ears plugged up and want the best battery like and have a phone that's compatible with hifi I would say get the lg's. If you like bass heavy music or all music and need the noise cancellation and want to hear people at times while your headphones are in and can do with less battery life and the extra $100 is in your budget get the Bose. I hope this helps you.

Q: Questionhow do you turn on the noise cancelling on LG tone platinum
Asked by pcilg.
- A:Answer LG TONE PLATINUM® Bluetooth® Wireless Stereo Headset, Model # HBS-1100 does not have noise cancellation. It is referred to as having Passive Noise Cancellation. Passive Noise Cancellation is the noise that headphones block out based on their physical design. Based on the shape of the headsets earbuds and how they fit in your ears determines to a large degree how much noise the headsets can block out. Headsets that feature Active Noise Cancellation have a more sophisticated engineering design and use more of the battery source to power them to produce active noise...^IFV cancellation.
