On the other hand, Intel® Core™ i7 Processors are classified as high-end processors and are suitable for professionals who need to perform some resource-intensive tasks like high-end gaming at higher fps, rendering graphics, editing sound videos and photos, and creating simulations. A: These laptops definitely are lacking in the ports department. But there are two USB ports: 1 usb3 (normal) and 1 USB-C (new standard)
Q: Is this laptop good for Engineering? If not what other options may be suitable?
A: It depends. Are you planning to do alot of solid state modelling or 3D rendering? If so, you should find a with a better graphics card. This Surface device has an entry-level graphics system, so if you're going to be designing complicated parts in 3D and rotating them around, shading them, etc - find a different laptop. If you plan on just doing 2 dimensional work - I think this laptop would be fine. The Memory, Processor and Disk are good - it's more about the requirements of your Engineering software package.
