A: Only if you want them to work.

A: Either way. It is depends on your active use time. If there is no movement of the mouse it will automatically shut off. If you wish to turn it off yourself you can do that also.

A: as long as there is a USB port, it will work. The mouse comes with a small chip that is inserted in the laptop so that it works wireless.

A: The sound is barely audible. I hate loud clicking!
