I assume you’re referring to the Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (6th generation, 2022) and the Apple iPad Pro 13-inch (7th generation, 2024, with the M4 chip). Here’s the major difference between these two models based on available information: The most significant difference is the display technology and performance upgrade. The iPad Pro 12.9-inch (6th gen) features a Liquid Retina XDR display with mini-LED technology, offering a resolution of 2732 x 2048 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 1600 nits for HDR content. In contrast, the iPad Pro 13-inch (7th gen, 2024) introduces an Ultra Retina XDR display with Tandem OLED technology, boasting a slightly higher resolution of 2752 x 2064 pixels, the same 120Hz refresh rate, and improved brightness and contrast (1000 nits full-screen, 1600 nits peak for HDR). The OLED display provides better color accuracy, deeper blacks, and greater energy efficiency compared to the mini-LED of the 12.9-inch model. Additionally, the iPad Pro 13-inch is powered by the newer M4 chip, which offers a substantial performance boost over the M2 chip in the 12.9-inch (6th gen). The M4 delivers up to 17% better overall performance and significantly faster single-core and multi-core processing, making it more capable for demanding tasks like video editing or gaming. The 13-inch model is also thinner (5.1 mm vs. 6.4 mm) and lighter (579g vs. 682g for Wi-Fi models), enhancing portability. In summary, the major differences lie in the OLED display and the M4 chip in the 13-inch iPad Pro, offering superior visuals and performance compared to the mini-LED display and M2 chip in the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no Apple 12.9 but only got iPhone Apple 13
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also am looking for comparison. My 12.9 Pro generation five doesn’t have the M1 chip or any M chip at all. I assume the silicon chips will speed things up. It will handle more intense apps like the logic. Other than that, though what would be the main difference. I can do logic and make movies on my Mac studio, I just need to find a rationale so that I can reason to myself and convince myself this should be something I need to survive. I’m trying anybody.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.0.1” screen size difference!! Seriously OLED display and M4 chip vs M2 - better performance for digital editing. Will support Apple Intelligence no doubt going forward,
