I agree with you. This replacement thing is a bit upsetting. I remember the item being covered for 2 years regardless of the number of times you need service. I believe that the current policy being presented as a "warranty" by the Best Buy staff is misleading. It should be presented as a "replacement plan" as the name states, and the fact that it ends if a replacement is issued before the 2 years is over explained. You're not getting a "FREE" replacement, you're pre-paying for a new item at a discount. If you don't use the plan then you've paid an additional fee for an item that has 2 years of wear and tear on it. It's only worth it if your item breaks close to the end of the 2 years.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is true,it covers until the first incident but you can repurchase the $40 coverage for the replacement.Still saves you money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You seem a bit confused. The warranty covers any accidents for up to 2 years. Once you break it the first time the warranty covers it and expires (within the 2 years) after use. You can then choose to purchase another warranty at that time or not. After the 2 years, and lets say you were incident free, the warranty expires and you have to cover all repairs cost out of pocket.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to buy a new warranty after each use. It is available for 2 years before getting canceled. If you want to bring something in, make sure that you do it before the warranty expires. You can keep track of when you bought it, on your account's options. I just noticed when you posted this question. I hope it helps others though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is covered for up to 2 yrs if it can get fixed. It’s only 1 incident if it needs replacement.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes once you use the accidental replacement once within the two years you will have to buy another warranty. For example, if you purchased a two year warranty for some lg headphones and they break then you use the replacement for that headset. It does not cover the new pair you receive so you just buy another warranty for the new headset. Two years means the amount of time but not the amount of replacements. The accidental is to cover the item attached to the geek squad plan per serial number. If your ps4 controller dies it will get replaced and you need a new replacement plan for the new one. Basically your spending money on a new plan not a new product. The Two years is to run longer than the manufacturer because accidents happen after a year of use as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They give two years to use it once used you must pay for the new insurance it’s worth it and if out of stock you can choose something close to the item for the same price or pay the difference, and if it’s two weeks into the warranty and something happens to the item they just replace it without using the warranty that’s my experience..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is true, and I was upset as well because you have to buy a warranty everytime you have a problem or replacement.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it covers all damage or defect in the two year period. But yeah once you bring in to exchange you will have to purchase another warranty. So it’s a combo of both
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is 2 years but you can only use it once, if you use the warranty to get a replacement you will need to purchase a new warranty to cover the new item for 2 years from the replacement date
