Q: QuestionCan the shelves be removed? I would like to use for storage if taller books, so I would like to remove the shelves so the books can fit inside the unit.

• A:Answer Hi DottieGirl, This cabinet actually has 2 elongated shelves, so not 4 separate spaces but could fit 4 components. The shelves are about 38 5/8" wide, and a combined height of 15" high. Hope that helps in making your decision.

Q: QuestionWhy do people answer ?'S if they DONT KNOW THE ANSWER TO. Don't believe all answers. My TV is a LG 47" & my stand is a 40" wide by 18" deep by 26" in height, i could put a 60 or 65" all day & look nice. I had a 55" I fixed TV'S before & sold them.

• A:Answer The 48" of a 48" TV is the diagonal measurement of the TV. The width of a 48" TV would less. The top rectangular surface of the cabinet is 44" wide x 10" not including the trapezoid surface.

• A:Answer As long as you make sure you don't exceed the max weight capacity of the stand (stated as 250 lbs), you should be fine. I'm currently using a stand designed for 32" TVs to hold my 40". As long as weight isn't a concern, the only issue might be the aesthetics (depending on how important that is to you).
