With or without "Special Offers"? The manufacturer sells two versions of this: one with "special offers" (advertisements) and one without. Which is this one? Thanks!

We have this 6" Kindle Fire, and then I have three kids who each have the 7" version. All have the "special offers", which really just means that there are advertisements shown on the home screen and in the margins sometimes. They really aren't a big deal at all, and I see no reason to spend the extra money to avoid them.

This version includes Special Offers. When you register your Kindle to your Amazon account you can choose to unsubscribe from Special Offers for a $15 fee.

It's very minor with special offers, all it does is provide Ads on your lock screen. In this case, you would swipe to unlock your tablet anyways, so there's almost no point to pay extra for the version without ads, aka Without Special Offers.
