This antenna comes with a mount that is fixed. If you wanted to be able to pick up channels that are located in different directions you would need a mount with a rotor as this is a directional antenna. In my case all channels are from one location so I point it in that direction and leave it. You will have to decide if u want to be able to target different areas or not. Most of the time you can get all the channels you want without moving the antenna.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We are using it both ways. At our retreat cabin we do not have a rotor and it gets great signal. At our home we do have a rotor, but that is more so that we can adjust to which area of channels we want to pick up. We live between two different media areas.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This would depend on where your stations you want to watch are located. This antenna has a narrow beam angle. Even though it say Omni Directional it is not. I only has about 35 degrees of beam with. If all your stations are within that 35 degrees then you would be fine. If they are in different directions then you would need a rotator or put up two antennas and combine the signals in to one coaxial cable to get all the channels from different directions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This design is highly directional (actually all antennas are directional, it's just physics, those that say they are "multi-directional" just mean they don't have the signal reflector as this one does). Antenna rotors are still around and are in wide use by cable cutters such as yourself. So, if you are in a location where the towers are in different directions, you can try one of the "multi-directional" models, but it's all going to depend on your location, building, signal strength, etc.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A rotor is not required for this antenna.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A rotor is not required but could be helpful as I need to make occasional position adjustments to pick up certain channels.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's a fixed mount. There are websites that can tell you the best direction to aim your antenna.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't have a rotor, but I pick up 81 channels. Most of them you won't want to watch, just saying .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is fixed position
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't have a rotor installed on mine. However, I have found that I do have to adjust it when I want to receive CBS, versus other channels. So I keep my antenna installed inside my house to where I can adjust it as needed. Good luck!
