Thank you for your inquiry. There is no way to increase the overall capacity of the UPS itself. You may connect an external battery pack, which increases the available runtime. However, the unit would still be rated for 1500 VA or 865 watts. It is only possible to connect 1 computer to the USB via USB cable. If you need to shut down multiple computers off a single UPS, we would recommend one of our Smart-UPS and a management accessory.

Please try again later.The Model that has the capability for the extra battery pack is the "APC Power Saving Back-UPS Pro 1500" (BR1500G) and the battery pack is "APC Back-UPS Pro External Battery Pack (for 1500VA Back-UPS Pro models)"BR24BPG. ( The unit will provide up to 865 W of power.
