An unlocked smartphone is a phone that isn't tied to a specific carrier or contract. Therefore, you have the freedom to shop for the latest phones and plans as often — or as infrequently — as you like. Plus, they don't come preloaded with numerous carrier applications that that take up space on your phone. And when it comes to international travel, unlocked phones can't be beat. (Seen on the description of unlocked phones) I'm not 100% sure on if it has to be done in store I would call Best Buy before buying online.

I wasnt sure why my phone wasn’t working . I took it to Verizon and they couldn’t help me ! Make a long story short . I purchased my xr preowned from bestbuy . Took my old SIM card and transferred it and never looked back ! I was not going to let that prepaid $30 a month bill Slip away !!
