My is working very reliable. Most devises typically connect automatically to 2.4GHz band as it is stronger, but 5GHz band is at least 5 times faster.

I have had no issues with crashing on either frequency and have over 10 devices always connected. It will work with apple TV. If you game I recommend saving the 5G for the gaming components otherwise put your highest bandwidth devices (aka apple tv) on the 5G. 2.4g is slower but has a higher range. Recommend putting your mobile devices on it.

yes, I am returning mine today after 1 week of annoying crashes, drops. the CPU runs so hot I think that is what is crashing it and taking down the 5 GHz band. save yourself the time and money like I did and upgrade to a competitor.

2.4G was very unstable (all the time). 5G worked well but went unstable every 24 hours until a factory reset was performed.

I just bought this product today. Right out of the box it needed updated. After that, I setup my 2.4 and 5G settings. I can connect to both frequencies from 2 different devices without any interference. This router is also beside another wireless router and works perfect. I set the 2.4GHz channel of this router separate from the other router so there is no interference. I would highly recommend getting this router. It may seem like a lot for a wireless router, but it packs everything you will ever need in a wireless router for years to come.

No issues after firmware update. I set up Apple TV for my mom with thus router. The smart TV is quite a ways from the router and works well.
