• A:Answer The laptop has only one PCIe 4.0 m2 slot. I imaged the 512GB drive onto a PNY 4TB PCIe 4.0 stick and have had no issues with functionality or heat.

Q: QuestionI've read about an issue with touch OLED screens having a grainy, or screen door effect most noticeable on a white background. (Almost like a moire pattern) Can anyone who has purchased this Zenbook Q420 tell me whether or not they have noticed this?

• A:Answer It is a glossy glass screen. It has gorilla glass and it does not have an anti reflective coating that I can see. So there is going to be reflection depending on the lighting environment but the OLED screen does compensate with the near infinite contrast ratio. At this price I would not hesitate.

• A:Answer i5 and i7 processors have very little differences other than performance and price. i5 processors provide great performance for a cheaper price while i7 processors are better for heavier tasks such as 4K video editing. But be aware that i7 processors are extremely power hungry and will drain your battery. Combine that with an OLED display and your laptop will last you 5 hours tops. But you can extend the battery life by lowering the brightness, changing the battery settings to “best power efficiency”, and going from 120hz to 60hz.
