Yes, it works fine. However, it does take some time to get use to the handling. P.S. battery consumption isn't ideal.

Yes, follow directions to activate tweezer. I have removed excessive wax. 
And I have removed a foreign object from my husbands ear.

YES!! There is a camera on the end so you can be guided to the dried wax in your ear canal. You can also take pictures of the inside of your ear while cleaning it.
