You can transfer your old phone number to your new phone but your old phone still has to be active. You need two set of numbers from your old carrier, a account number and pin. You get this by calling them. Once you call and get that then you call boost Mobile and talk to them about transferring your number. You can't do it online because they need to do stuff on their end. The only time I was able to "transfer" numbers was from phone to phone in the same network online.
