Does this have an IR repeater? It would be blocking the IR remote signal that is located in the center bottom of tv. I dont know if the tv will turn on, if the soundbar blocks this null

I have found that if I point the remote at the IR REPEATER, I can turn on and off the tv without difficulty.Before realizing that ,I would have much trouble with simply turning on and off the power.If a tech had simply told me this from the outset ,I would have had a much more pleasant few days with our new TV for the first few days.

The sound bar boes not block it

There is no repeater, but the universal remote that comes with the sound bar can virtually be used for any TV. The manual has codes for a ton of TV brands and Set Top boxes, like Comcast, Direct TV, etc. and once paired, you need just that one remote!
