    • Answer The one I bought from Best Buy does support both. The power supply is rated 100-240 AC. I currently live in Germany (work for the Army) and my Series 7 and 9 both charge through the cleaning base with no issues. I've use the 7 for last 2 years over here. The Series 9, I just purchased in September and so far, it has performed flawlessly. I hope this helps.

    • Answer Activation: By pressing the on/off switch (4) for 3 seconds the shaver is locked. This is confirmed by a beep sound and the lock symbol in the display. Afterwards the display turns off. • Deactivation: By pressing the on/off switch for 3 seconds the shaver is unlocked again. MultiHeadLock switch (head lock) To shave hard-to-reach areas (e.g. under the nose) slide the MultiHeadLock switch (3) down to lock the shaver head. The shaver head can be locked in five positions. To change position, move the shaver head with your thumb and forefinger back or forth. It will automatically click into the next position

    • Answer I recently purchased a new Series 9 (my 3rd Braun shaver…in 20 years) I’ve always placed the razor in the cleaning station but run the cleaning cycle every other day. I will typically get about 6-7 weeks out of a cleaning cartridge. I know Braun recommends running the cleaning cycle after each use, but I’ve been pleased with the results of doing it every other day.

    • Answer I had the series 7 for about 6 years. It still works to this day. I recently got the series 9 and it is quieter and does give me a nice shave it’s less irritating than the seven was. However it could also be because the 7 got old even though I was replacing the shave head.

    • Answer Yes, you can clean it without the cleaning solution. Just put a drop of liquid detergent on a head and run it under warm water to clean it. Leave it out to dry.

    • Answer When the shaver large gets below 10 minutes charge in the battery, the bars turn into the number of minutes left, starting at 9, 8, and so on down to 0.

    • Answer I do use it on my head. Works great. Not SUPER close and causes some bumps but is comfortable and does not irritate my scalp which is worth the trade off. Kinda pricey. I bought a $50 foil razor that cut closer and did not cause bumps, downside was that it did cause irritation

  • QuestionTravel a fair amount. Charger / Cleaner too large to fit in suitcase. Can shaver be charged without charger/cleaner?

    • Answer Generally dont bring the travel stand with me to work. I work on an ambulance and fire department so i have to remain clean shaven at all time so i frequent manually clean the device with sterile water and accompanied brush. Seems to never cause a problem. I then run the device thru the cleaner weekly or as needed .

  • QuestionI have always used a regular razor blade because when I was younger the electric shaver never got the hard stubble removed from my face and it wasn’t clean or smooth. Will the Braun - Series 9 Wet/Dry Electric Shaver - Chrome remove all my hard stubble?

    • Answer I've been using the series 7 for the past few years and it does a good job of giving you a clean smooth face after shaving. I'll probably upgrade soon to the 9 series. I'm a convert from blades and have been much happier since never having to deal with razor cuts anymore. That said, its just less hassle to shave with the Braun and the shave is better than any other electric I've tried, but a new high quality, high performance blade shave will always be the closest shave and smoothest face you'll get.

  • QuestionWhen i put the shaver in the cleaning statin i want clean only without charging. Is it possible?

    • Answer I don't think so. I remove and brush the shaver head to clean it after every shave, and then snap the shaver head back on when I am finished. I recharge/clean the shaver head approximately every two weeks. I also remove the cleaning solution container from the charger and put the cap back on it whenever I am not actually charging/cleaning the shaver. That prevents the solution from evaporating quickly and makes it last much longer.
