I love my Breville Espresso/Latte machine but to be honest, it is not and can not replace a coffee maker. If your guests want a traditional cup of drip coffee you are going to disappoint them. The most notable reason is that they are already DRIP COFFEE DRINKERS and they'll know you are trying to trick them with a diluted espresso shot. You can get an everyday drip coffee maker for less than the sales tax on this machine - or go pick pick up a drip coffee machine at a second hand store for $10 and break it out when the drip coffee people come over. That's what we did. We enjoy our lattes' daily and break out the drip machine twice a year for guests.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As this is an espresso machine you would not be able to make traditional drip coffee, espresso always being extracted under pressure. What you may do is pull a double shot of espresso, add hot water to taste and then a bit of frothed milk, an Americano.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have made an Americano with the machine - about 4 shots of espresso, hot water from the machine, then some steamed milk. Came out tasting ok. But I wouldn't use it as a substitute for making a cup of coffee because the shot size is small and you should put new coffee into the espresso coffee holder each time you do a new shot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Espresso is just condensed coffee so to speak. When I want to make more of a drip coffee type of beverage I just add some water to it. Customize however you would like.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, but you can froth the milk and ad to regular coffee, this machine only makes espresso, and hot water and steam
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.NO. THE MACHINE MAKES ESPRESSO ONLY AND NOT AMERICAN COFFEE!
