You actually have to take out the plastic receiving box, then bang on the machine and the grindings fall out and you can brush them out of there. But it's best if you do that after each time you grind a box full. Then they won't gather so much and get packed

Also, only using maybe 1/8-1/4 cup at a time helps it all empty into the canister instead of getting stuck in the chute.
