Hello Catman - Thank you for your question; we are glad to assist. There is a finger hole at the front of the brew basket to aid with removal. The basket is snapped in to keep it tight to prevent it from shifting when the carafe is removed. Thanks for checking. Olga@Café
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wasn’t sure if you meant the gold mesh brew filter basket for the grounds (it has a little handle), or the internal basket the filter sits in (that has a loop on one side), so I included a picture of me removing both since I had to clean them after brewing this morning’s coffee anyhow :) In case you can’t easily view the photos though I’ll try and describe it. - The internal basket that any filter (paper OR gold mesh, never both) sits in can be removed by putting your finger through the loop on one side of it and pulling up. There will be resistance. Don’t worry. - The gold mesh filter basket has a handle. Wait until it’s cooled enough to handle and you can lift it out most easily/cleanly with that. Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are two plastic tabs near the spring mechanism you need to slightly squeeze. You have to look up from the carafe area to see them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Pull it with force.
