A:AnswerThis camera has Auto and Manual focus on both its lenses. The setting to make the background blurry is called an aperture setting. If you have the camera set up on the"Av" setting, it will focus more on the subject that's close and blur out the background. The farther the background, the blurrier it gets. This feature is also available in the "Portrait" setting but depending on the lighting the camera will automatically use the flash and pictures don't come out as good.
A:AnswerThis camera will be great in low light situations but you will also need a fast lens to take good low light photos especially if your subject is in motion. If you're considering a new lense, i suggest you get one with a low F number. F number refers to the lense's maximum apperture width. The lower the number, the better. They also command a higher price compared to lenses with high F numbers. F2.8 is my starting F number. Anything higher than that, you'll have to crank up your ISO to compensate for the higher F number (in low light situations) which may result in image noise (grainy pixels) on your photos. I hope this helps.
A:AnswerYes. The additional lens does allow far items to appear up close. You can purchase any SD card. The larger the more pictures it holds. I started with an 8 gb Lexar sd card, because I had it at home.
A:AnswerPrior to my purchasing this camera, I used a point and shoot 7.1 megapixel which "got the job done", but wouldn't provide superior quality pictures. The Canon T6 blew me away! It was like night and day comparing the two. If you want postcard/textbook quality photos and videos at a remarkable price (Best Buy camera package is unbeatable), then this camera is your boy! Wish I would have had it when my sons were growing up.
A:AnswerYes and no. When reviewing the camera for action shorts look at the frames per second. Although this camera is a good camera, there are better cameras on the market with higher frames per second. You will get decent action shots with this camera, but you cant expect them to be ESPN quality. Good luck.
A:AnswerI got a great photo of the moon with my 300mm on a tripod with a delay set on the shutter to avoid camera shake. Manual mode, zoomed in, 400ISO and aperture of f20 exposure time 1/80". Patients and a little time! Good luck.
A:AnswerI cannot tell you how long but I can tell you that while on vacation I would start my day at 7-8 8 am and not finish till 8-9 at night. During a 5 day trip I took over 1100 pictures and some videos and not one day did my battery ever run down. There was one day that I forgot to charge the battery and I still did not have a problem the next day.
