If you mean streaming over the internet and your hotel has WiFi for the guests then yes it should work. I know Dish Network just put their Dish Anywhere app onto the Chromecast App Store and one of the perks is you can watch your TV channels anywhere on that so I’m confident it should work for streaming. If you’re watching a film off your HD on the mobile device you might be able to cast it onto the Chromecast, but again you would need hotel WiFi for that to work.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The answer from "Google Team" is incorrect. The URL that they provide is about Nest products, not Chromecast. You cannot cast, but you can use any of the apps on the "Chromecast with Google TV" on a captive network. You might also be able to cast in Guest Mode. Do a Google search for new-google-chromecast-for-travel for details.
