• Rinse daily and once a week fill reservoir with warm water and two tablespoons white vinegar and let sit 30 minutes. Shake and rinse. Do the same for the bottom portion and rinse after 30 minutes. Be careful not to get water into the fan outlet in the bottom piece.

• My instructions say to rinse daily and 'sanitize' weekly. Make sure to avoid getting water in the outlet port on the base.

• Empty base and wipe out daily before refilling. Then, once a week pour a small amount of vinegar in base and let set for about an hour. Empty and rinse. You can also get instruction from customer service on line at Crane. Google crane Humidifyer. That's where you get the filters, also.

• instruction book states: empty tank and base daily as standing water can cause mold growth. Once a week mix 1/2 gallon warm water with two tablespoons white vinegar in tank. Shake then let sit for 20 to 30 minutes. Mix similar solution and let stand in base for 20 to 30 minutes. Do the same then dry completely before storing for extended time.
