Field replaceable batteries mean the internal battery can be replaced while in the warranty period. While it can also be replaced outside of the warranty, it's not recommended as it is not cost effective for the customer and CyberPower does not have batteries available for sale on unit's with that listed. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This means the battery compartment can open so you can replace the battery. If this unit fails because of the battery itself, you are lucky. I've only been successful half the time with a replacement battery. The electrical portion sometimes fails causing the battery to fail. New battery don't always fix it. Battery is cheaper than a whole UPS if you are lucky.
