I have a Thinkware model and I purchased a separate battery pack to be installed so that it would not run down my car battery. The newer cars may have a feature to shut down your car battery after a period of time. Reach out to the technician again and find out what they know with the vehicle you have.

One must be connected to a constant power source, one that always has power, even when the vehicle is off. The second wire is connected to a source that turns off when the vehicle is off. It appears both wires are connected to a source that is not constant.
