“how well does it work with a shag area rug?”

• I use the hardwood floor attachment on my shag rug so it doesn't untwist the strands. This attachment doesn't have the beater brush so I feel like it is more gentle on the rug. Still picks up great. Also use this attachment on a hide rug.

• The Dyson V6 is not designed to clean shag rugs and carpeting. I use it on my hardwood and tile floors and it works great.

• Depends what your goal is. If there is visible dirt of other items you want removed from the rug, it should work fine and give it a 'fresh' look. If you want to suck out smaller fuzz and dust, you may want to break out the corded Dyson :)
