According to projectorcentral.com, the Epson 4050 and its twin, the 4010 use "4k enhancement", which is similar to pixel shifting technology. Remarkably, although all of the pixel-shifting DLP 4k projectors achieve the full 8.3 million pixel display that defines what is 4k, the Epson 4010 and 4050 only display half the number of pixels (1080P x 2) yet because of the superior 15-piece lens and additional image processing actually produce better images than the DLP 4k pixel-shifters. That's the reason Epson hasn't seen the need to produce a projector with 4x pixel-shifting, as it wouldn't really improve the quality of their final image.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a shift 4k not native 4k. At 120 inches the quality is incredible though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Asim, The Epson Pro Cinema uses 4K Enhancement Technology which shifts each pixel diagonally to double Full HD resolution. The result is bright, full color with stunning resolution. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
