You have to take your time and pick out the pieces of paper very carefully with some tweezers or such don't be in a hurry it will start working again after paper is cleared.

Try reversing the shredder. Do this by pushing the forward and reverse switch to the right. Hope this solves your problem.

MOVE BUTTON TO REVERSE AND CLEAR JAMS. THEN RETURN TO 'I'. I WOULD TURN IT TO 'O' FIRST. THAT IS OFF, AND THEN RESUME SHREDDING ON 'I'. JUST BEING CAREFUL AND KEEPING YOUR SHREDDER FROM ABUSE AND KEEPING IT FOR LONGER USE. GOOD BUT GENTLE.

If it jammed because you put too many papers in at once turn it off and turn it upside down and try to pull the papers out from the bottom. 
I have cleared a jam of papers by putting it in reverse and then quickly back forward a few times. Depending, you can try to put another thicker paper in to force whatever is stuck out. Make sure the basket is not full of shredded paper up to the cutters sometimes that causes things to jam.

I hope this help. Biggest precaution is not to put too many papers in at once.
