You have to set it up through the fitbit app. on the phone.

There is very little set-up. I have the Fitbit app. You go into the app where you “add a device”. My Fitbit is already added- so I find this scale in the list and add it. That’s really it. The scale does come with step by step instructions On how to do this. There isn’t much to it. You do have to have the app open in order for the app to sync/record your weight while you are in it.

Just open your Fitbit app, click/touch your profile picture in the upper left corner, then you will see an option with a plus sign and "Set Up a Device" next to the plus. Click/touch that, then choose whatever device you want to pair with your app, such as the Aria scale.
