It says the same thing for the Versa but as soon as I got into the pool and started swimming, the face opened up and it fried the watch. So no, I would not trust the Charge 3 or 4 either for the swimming exercise. You can probably take a shower with it and go in the rain, but not swimming, even though it has swimming in the exercise. What I do, I add swim and I put how many minutes I did it and it will give you the calories based on that.

I wear mine in the pool and to shower or bathe. I never have any problems with it. The ONLY issue with it and water is that in the shower, the droplets are warm and have enough force that they can activate the touch screen. The worst that happened with that was that it opened up submenus on the watch face.
