“Is this freezer considered "garage ready"? (Withstand hot temps in summer in garage and still function normally?)”

Hello, Superjet. You can find the ambient temperature requirements needed for proper operation in the Use&Care Guide on each model under the Installation Location section, which for this model is on page 7. This freezer should not be installed where the temperature will drop below 0°F (-18°C) or rise above 110°F (43°C). Let us know if we can help with any other questions. ~ Margaret
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We live in southern New Mexico and purchased this for our garage. Not a good choice because of the heat build up in our insulated garage throughout the summer. We do NOT pull our cars into the garage during the day because of the heat build up when the freezer is running. We now empty and turn off the freezer beginning June 1st until late August when the chiles are ready for harvest and freezing. What a pain, but it should extend the life of the freezer for a good 10-15 years.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is not garage ready, we wondered about that too. The associate told us that is more relevant for year-round hot temperatures. We live in Michigan and it never gets that hot and never gets below 0 in the winter. So if you live in the south it might not be the best option.
