• Maps updated when connected via USB to my computer at Garmin. Also, updates map automatically using my wi-fi. The first time out of the box it took about 1 hour to upload the updates.

• I found one by digging around the Garmin site but the manual is actually included right on the device. Look at the screens and you'll find it, I didn't realize it right away either but it is there.
