A:AnswerIf your asking does this tell the time, yes it does. Unlike the previous Garmin models this one does not have an always on display. There is a setting to have it come on when you raise your arm and look at it or you double tap the screen to turn on the display
A:AnswerI've had mine about a month. It replaces a much older version. I find the battery lasts 5-7 days depending on how much I am using it. I wear it 24/7, but sometimes I'm scrolling through options more than others. Also depends on if you have the notification setting turned on and are getting alerts from your phone. That would use more battery than if you have that setting turned off. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerIf you're referring to notifications from your smartphone, like text messages, emails, incoming calls, etc....yes. It's not always persistent, however, from my experience. Texts will come in on my phone, but sometimes I won't get notified on this device. Hopefully this can be fixed with a software update or something.
A:AnswerThe vivosmart 3 has a water resistance rating that would allow it to safely get wet while in a pool or bathing. For more information visit www.garmin.com/waterrating
A:AnswerIt does track calories burned....you would need to sync it with the myfitnesspal app to track calories consumed. You just have to enter into the app the food you are consuming and it will calculate the calories for you
A:AnswerMy cell phone was not compatible and would not even synch to the vivosmart 3 smart watch so I went back, exchanged and purchased a Fitbit Charge 2 now which shows notifications, like emails, telephone calls, and texts, but my phone is not compatible with those types of notifications. But I am happy with it, nonetheless. However, I do get notifications when I need to be active and when it is time to wind down to sleep, sleep cycles, distance walked, log in water drank,.or when I get badges for accomplishing certain goals. It resets after 24 hours for your activities. Check to see if your cell phone is compatible to receive the email, phone calls, and texts, if that is what you are talking about. I don't miss those notifications because you have to have your phone with you, I think. I like the vibrating notifications I get to remind me to exercise with my Fitbit and other notifications I get. I see that you purchased your vivosmart 3 only a day ago (this may be 72 hours later since this answer has to be reviewed by Best Buy). I returned my vivosmart 3 to Best Buy when I realized it didn't synch and they graciously exchanged it for me for the Fitbit that worked. However, I didn't check which phone was compatible with the phone notifications but I am very happy with my Fitbit Charge 2 smart watch. You probably can go on line and check out the different Fitbits that are compatible with your phone. I hope this hasn't confused you and I hope it helps. Check with your Best Buy tech in the store where you bought it; they may be able to help. Also, check out the product below. I purchased this one only in a small. I posted the large assuming you are a man. If not it can be purchased in smaller sizes. P.S. I like the the look of this one; it is similar to the vivosmart 3.
A:AnswerShawn,
Yes, you would. This model does not have the GPS module built into it. It's what keeps it so thin. If you want hr plus gps, you would need to look at the vivosmart hr+. I suspect thought that Garmin may be coming out with a replacement for the vivosmart hr+ so whether you want to to wait for that possibility is up to you. Hope that helps.
A:AnswerAll of your data would upload to Garmin Connect. You would want to contact United Heathcare Rewards and see if their app will pull data from Garmin Connect.

A:AnswerNot by the user. Mine was just over a year old when the band started to fall apart. I emailed customer support and had to ship it back to them to replace the band or device. They replaced the whole thing for free. Had a brand new one 10 days after I shipped it to them.

A:AnswerPart of the set up asks what your language preference is. There’s a long list to scroll through of different languages. I know that doesn’t answer your question exactly but I hope it’s a little bit helpful.
A:AnswerThe device has an Optical Heart Rate Sensor. The optical heart rate sensor on your Garmin optical heart rate device uses light to penetrate your skin and estimate your heart rate. This allows you to get heart rate information without the need for an external sensor. You may also go to support.garmin.com for FAQ's on Optical Heart Rate and you may reach out directly to our product support team from that page.
